Hopefully your case doesn’t get backlogged. I sent my packet up in November and still haven’t gotten my ratings back...

I was told to expect 4-8 weeks for VA ratings. Give it till end of this month or first week of JAN. Hope you get them sooner though!

The VA is always hit or miss. I'm on just over 2 months now, but I know that someone is at least looking at my packet since it has gone back to the Gathering of Evidence phase with a suspense date of January 5 for that information. Hopefully I get something back sooner, but who knows.

It took a month after being referred just to meet your peblo? And did they contact you?

Yeah, they said the norm is they contact you within 3 weeks of referral. My provider told me to go into the MEB clinic and ask because it was taking too long. Apparently, "they were planning on calling me next week."

I’m waiting to be contacted by them I wonder how long the whole process is on campbell they said it’s backed up right now. I’ll give it another week then go to the clinic or do you recommend me just calling the clinic?

Also you got a permanent profile after starting the meb process? Not before?

Sorry for the late reply. Yeah, I had a temporary deadman profile but didnt get a P3 until I met with my PEBLO. I would go in by the end of this week instead of calling. They hardly ever answer when I try.

Well, I am a bit stunned and crushed right now. Paralyzed in thought would probably be the best explanation. I received my Narsum dictation and completed MEB packet this week and my C&P examiner for TBI and General Med were extremely inconsistent with my medical records and the actual exam that took place.

TBI- I am currently being seen at the TBI clinic and have multiple visits with diagnosis for post concussive headaches, nerve damage, dizziness, etc. The examiner spent 2 hours talking to me and her results were: "Unsubstantial evidence or diagnosis that a TBI has occured." Additionally, she did not mention any of my migraines and said the "general examiner will get your migraines."

Gen Med- This one is the worst. Mind you, he did not use a Goniometer on all but one of my ROMs..

Migraines: I have migraines with notes from my neurologist that say I have chronic migraines with 17 severe headaches and have had to leave work at least 5 times in the past month. Doc stated I have "less than frequent prostrating attacks" and states the migraines are not TBI related. (So now my TBI examiner didnt mention this and my gen med is stating im all good).

Shoulders: I can barely raise my shoulders to 45 deg and feel pain immediately on use. My examiner wrote that I have 170 degrees range of motion and slight pain. No impact functionally. I have a PT appt with measurements that state "severe pain and less than 90 deg motion. Substantial hip substitution when raising arms." So his statements prevent my shoulders from being a referred condition.

Back: I barely bent forward due to pain and have trouble moving my trunk left/right. He stated I have full range of motion with minor pain.

Vertigo: stated I had no medical history despite it being on my migraines. Referred back to TBI DBQ for headaches and vertigo, but remember that my TBI examiner deferred headaches to the general examiner.

Hips, Thighs, ankles, knee: Limited ROM and pain but the Examiner said no issues at all.

Ultimately, I dont know what to do and how this will pan out. These were significant issues of mine that were crucial for me to recieve 90-100% if included with my other conditions. I am waiting for the 4 day weekend to be over to see legal. My clinic has stated they will not repeat C&P exams despite the lack of a Goniometer. Does this mean I will have to wait till I get out to receive another exam?

I don't understand how this dude didn't at least quote my records rather than pencil whipping his own stuff. A lot of people have mentioned, "the examiner watches you while you come to the door and what you do while you are in the room." I wore summer PTs, did not take any jackets off, put my phone on a shelf(didnt bring mine in.) I also never bent over to tie my shoes.

Any luck with legal? My NARSUM appointment is next week. Hearing how yours went makes me super nervous.

Hey sorry for the late reply, just submitted my IMR. Legal did a great job focusing on my migraines to be added as a referred condition. However, they basically don't touch any condition unless you are trying to make an argument to move it to referred condition. With my VA examiner's notes, they want me to just bring all my pertinent medical records to the VA MSC to be uploaded. They claim that the DBQ is only part of what they consider along with the most current picture the medical records show. Good luck with your NARSUM, hope it works out!

I had the same issues with mine. They even put some ROM for my back when I had a signed paper in there that says that it never took place. My IMR and subsequent rebuttal couldn't do anything about the things they pencil whipped in there but at least I got to redo my back exam. Hope yours has a different conclusion

I just finished my NARSUM appointment with the MEB doctor. He said he will write everything up and have it to my PEBLO within a week. The doctor was very condescending and made me feel like my conditions weren't legitimate. Now I'm super nervous to see my NARSUM. Do you remember which doctor you saw who wrote up your NARSUM? (I'm at Campbell too, right behind you.)

I had a female doc.

I had a male. Hopefully mine turns out okay.

I just got my IMR findings back. The Dr agreed and is recommending my Migraine conditions be added as a referred condition. Still, no idea how the VA will rate me with the C&P examiner's crappy exam. Really hoping they side with my medical records. My MEB packet is finally sent to PEB and I get to move on with this headache. Hopefully you have solid results and can keep it moving as well!
