You could check va app to see if a case has closed.

I wish, everyday I check the app and it shows nothing.
Ah okay. I’m right there with ya, checking everyday. My case was sent to PEB October 7and also nothing, so pretty similar timelines. I’ll keep you posted if I hear anything.

I’m also at Cavazos and my NARSUM was sent to PEB on 16SEP, VA case closed 21OCT. Have not heard anything since then. Figured I would share so you guys can see a timeline
At least your VA case closed I’m in a super similar timeline but no movement with PEB or VA they say I’ve been with rater since 28 OCT.

That’s awesome. Congrats

Thanks. It is favorable and I expect to concur once I talk to legal.

Also things I learned and I am believe most of everyone here already know but just in case.

DA 199
  • Double check admin data
  • Verify Section 3, d if it is permanent and stable ( of course a,b,c,d are all very important)
  • Section V will say if it is combat related
VA Proposed Ratings
  • If you have the section that talks about chapter 35 for dependents, that is the blurb that indicate if the VA ratings is P&T ( I am not saying I am but that is what to look for )

These people still have not got back to me with D199 and its been 2 weeks , everyone i know got it back within a week

Heck, my timeline was ahead of the majority of you all and I haven't even got my ratings yet. VA rep said my case may show closed in the app but it is has not been closed entirely and is still with the rater. So don't feel too bad.

If your case is at the VA you are unfit. Wouldn't make it to the VA if found fit by PEB. According to my newly assigned PEBLO, PEBLOs are no longer notified of fit/unfit findings by the PEB. Side note, I am not really tripping about it as I would like for them to drag it out for my kids to finish the school year. Just collecting a paycheck at this point doing the bare minimum since I am not fit for service. However, I see my unit has recently made me deployable and removed my MRC despite being in an MEB. So I am partially eager to be done with all this for good.

Same boat as you. I’m on a CSP right now that’s letting me basically just practice my programming skills and work from home, enjoying the paycheck and skills while they make me wait.

My case apparently had a records review on Monday (11Nov), so maybe the PEB was waiting for my full ratings to be in before the 199?

Nice, I unfortunately could not do a CSP due to manning issues. I also had an IMR for two claimed conditions. I recommend you log into Tricare Online Patient Portal click Health Record and click Documents to see what they added in there just in case you need to begin the appeal process. In my case the rater sent it back to the C & P examiner to determine if my conditions existed prior to service (EPTS).

The examiner wrote a bunch of flowery language VA medical jargon that made no sense at face value as she basically said " yes it did EPTS and no it didnt EPTS but wait it did EPTS but maybe it didnt EPTS therefore I conclude it did but didn't EPTS".

That sucks, sorry about that. I got lucky and got everything signed off on it quickly for the CSP.

I’ll check for the new review, but I’ve logged in before and what they wrote for my referred condition is an incredible DBQ write up that I really appreciated. The DR who did that C&P exam was excellent.

The medical records they reviewed were for a really old diagnosis I didn’t even know was in my records, but it was something my MSC was able to find and put on my SHA. I’m not really sweating it that much.
