Got my NARSUM found unfit by PTSD and Shoulder. My PTSD conditions were found prior seevice but marked that AD permanantly affected me. Does has anyone received a medical retirement for PTSD or do they look at that and just say separation?

Does the PEB typically agree with the MEB for findings?

Thanks

I'm not an expert, but I believe as long as your PTSD/BH diagnosis is rated at 30% or above as your unfit condition, you'll be retired. Less than 30% and you'll get a severance.

As for if the PEB agrees with the MEB findings, I couldn't tell you. It might be case-by-case, but I'm not sure.

The permanently aggravated helps because basically it makes the condition service connected even if it existed prior to serving. @CVST_COVAX is correct. Also, be prepared to be put on TDRL if retired with 30% or higher DOD. Mental health conditions are expected to change so they check you later on after you are out and can change your rating to include lowering it and changing your status from retired to separated with severance. If on TDRL try to get things stable and do not make big changes in your life or treatment until you have your TDRL exam. That's the quickest way to retain your rating and have it changed to a permanent retirement where they change you from TDRL to PDRL.
