Back to the waiting game trying to get on Tranproc list. Anyone know the time line to get on list in Ft.Bragg right now ?

I have two buddys at bragg that just finished their MEB. One took 11 days to get his orders, the other 16 days to get his orders from the personnel office at the SSC. Good luck, congrats!

Were your legal estimations accurate to your final ratings?

Thanks for the info, yes my legal estimators were spot on with the ratings.

This is a fast Medboard. Do you know why yours went so fast? I’m still waiting on my C&P exams to come back. I took my last exam in November

Honestly the diagnoses on my case are pretty cut and dry. I have a lot of medical records and evidence for support, so that helps the process. The other thing is honestly gods blessing, the process can be a crapshoot.

That’s awesome. I hope you get out soon. I claimed a lot of things so I don’t know if this is why.

The MSC claimed around 30+ items for me. I would contact your MSC and see what’s going on with your QTC exams. If they were done off post they can take a while to come back.

Once you get your NLT it’s 90 days from that date. I only have 20 days of leave so I’ll be out way sooner then the 90 days.

Can you continue working and then use you last 20 days on day 70 to make it go to 90?

No - Your pTDY request plus leave are used to calculate the total days. Your separation date is then set as the terminal leave date plus the total calculated days including any leave that will accrue during that time.

So if you have 20 days leave, and command approves 20 days pTDY (max I believe). They'll set your orders for 42.5 days after the day you final out. (20 pTDY, + 20 leave, + 2.5 day for leave accrued over that month).

You're authorized a max of 90 days without submitting an ETP. That 90 days included leave and pTDY. I've seen lots of guys ask for ETP to use all their leave, and I've seen none approved, all were forced to sell the balance.

Edited: for Spelling error, and to add info about the max.

Congrats I had a question about terminal leave at Fort Bragg. What was your process I know it can depends on your unit and base. My activity is in fort Bragg so I just want to know how and when you put in for terminal leave on fort Bragg. Thanks again

If I remember correctly,
When you get your orders you start with the date that is listed on there as your last day in the military. Then count backward based on how many days of leave you have (also add the permissive TDY dates if your unit allows it). i.e. You get your orders to leave the Army on July 31st and you have 40 days of leave plus 10 days of permissive TDY then you need to fill out a leave form with the leave date starting on June 10th (If I got the calculation right). (Make sure you write down the permissive TDY note on the memo section of the leave form). Naturally, you need the supervisor's and commander's signature. This leave form is required for you to outprocess earlier to match your leave days. Here are some things to note: You can decide when to leave the Army by submitting a request for a change of orders. It is easier to request to leave the Army earlier than leave later. You can calculate your leave days from the new date. Also, please note that due to the differences in the payment system of DoD and the VA it might be more advantageous for you to select a final out date that is between the 23rd to 26th of the month (depending on the month). You will get a notice about this. Also, MAKE SURE to get an appointment with outprocessing.

I appreciate the info. So once I get my orders it will be 90 days out and I will use my leave days to calculate when I want to get out sooner? My S1 was saying to make sure I get it done before hand but I don’t know how to do that if I don’t have a date.

What I did was to make an educated estimate on when that date will be, then count backwards and make a leave form. If it worked out as planned - great. If it didnt, just make a new leave form. Dont turn in your leave form until you get your orders and thought about the date that they gave you.

Appreciate it. I’m going to do that.
