Hypomania???

Thank you, I just had this feeling that they are only going to retain because there numbers are low. Even though I have all these things and the 4 diagnosis I have gotten. The Anxiety keeps kicking in because of this process. Just do not know where to turn, for some reason I am worried and very lost even though I had that meeting today.
Indeed, you are welcome! :) Hence, I am only a PM away if you want to have an one-on-one conversation for additional support. ;)

Nonetheless, I can definitely comprehend your heighten anxiety at this particular point for sure. Hopefully, all shall go well resulting in a favorable determination supportive of your desired expectations. Take care and please remain "positively proactive" as much as feasibly possible.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer!"

Best Wishes!

So they are also diagnosing me with General Anxiety, Depressive mood episodes, and PTSD now. This is causing me to get a lot of Anxiety right now. Please help. There pushing my MeB up to next month now to start. Is there a chance to find me fit for duty? I cannot do this anymore. I am on quarters again for back pain. I feel guilty for taking quarters. A Air Force Doctor offered me Quarters on Monday and I refused because I was paranoid I would get into trouble. Wednesday I had to leave work early because of extreme pain. Got Quarters now. I have a Psychiatric appointment and need a refill of my Lamitcal so I have to go. I am tired of feeling guilty for no reason and the pain. What can I do, any advice? The medicine I am taking now seems to help for the most part until something happens then my anxiety kicks in full swing.

Sounds like you will most likely be found unfit.

As far as "what to do?" I think you prepare your case for the best outcome possible.

I hope all goes well for you.

Indeed, I definitely agree 100% with @Jason Perry's consistently sound insightful feedback! :)

As such, I would highly suggest to always sit in the driver's seat and never become a passenger throughout the DoD IDES & DoD LDES processes at least in my lengthy experienced-based opinion. Take care!

Thank you, so this is what I am dealing with and finally admitted to them over the last few months.
Hypo-mania
General Anxiety
Depressive Mood session
PTSD
L1, L2, L4, L5, S1, T11, and T12 ( Herniation, DSD, Annular tares, and a Fischer on one of my discs)
Re-accruing Pilonidal Cyst (had surgery on in 2010 and it keeps coming back)

SO with that said thank you for you advice. My anxiety is going through the roof more than my normal. The psychiatrist can't put me on anything for that just yet since the Lamictal isn't up to the proper level yet. He said he would near the end of next month. So the MeB kicks off for me next month. I asked my Psychiatrist today what he thinks and he said its 50/50 with the size of the Air Force and how bad the manning is. I do not want to be in anymore because of my feelings and brain towards what has been going on in my head for years now. I have been in 8 1/2 years and tired of the Fear Mongering, the feeling as if a knife or rope is hanging over my head every time I put the uniform on. I have to show up to work and hour or two early just to feel on time. Because of all of this my body is falling apart and fast.

Will this play into my case at all?

Thank you

I wouldn't worry too much about the low manning issue playing a factor in you being retained or not. When I went through my MEB, my career field was critically manned and they still told me UNFIT.

Thank you, man I am just so out of it and paranoid and a whole bunch of other crap you know? I don't know what to think and I really do not want to be in anymore since all of this started in the military, because of the military, and effects are going to be with me for a very long time. I am tired of living with everything and the back pain. So with that said, How paranoid should I be? I can't do it anymore and I have expressed that to all of my doctors and specialist. At least on the Lamictal I do not want to blow my head off or swallow my tongue, so I at least have that going for me now.

Thank you

Just got my notification that I am going to the IRILO this week. Got put on a 1 year profile that encompasses everything with the normal can't go anywhere. Should get a call from my PEBLO in 2 weeks. When is the time that I am found "Unfit" or "Fit" for duty? Seems like I will have a lot to do once that happens if I am found "unfit". How well do appeals work if I am found "fit" for duty?

Thanks,
Mike

So I just got my 1 year profile with a code 37. It says on the top about an IRILO and MEB, on the bottom though it states member is undergoing MEB. In my record it shows a code 37 back dated to June 17th. So what should I be looking at and referencing besides AFI's that I have already read? Has the IRILO at this point found me to be unfit? Why hasn't my PEBLO contacted me? Any advice would be appreciated.

The RILO can either return you to duty with an ALC or refer you for an MEB, they don't find you unfit. If you haven't been contacted by the PEBLO in all probability it means RILO hasn't made it's decision or it hasn't notified the PEBLO of it's decision.

Not sure which AFIs you've looked at but here are the ones I refer to (often).

AFI 36-3212 - Physical Evaluation for Retention, Retirement & Separation
AFI 10-203 - Duty Limiting Conditions
AFI 48-123 - Medical Examinations & Standards
AFI 41-210 - Tricare Operations & Patient Administration Functions

Also the Medical Standards Directory - you can find on this website under Resources > Air Force, it's helpful too.

Thank you for the information!!! So in about a week or two I should get a phone call then or email? Anything I should do? Just getting nervous since one of my diagnosis is General anxiety. Any other advice?

You should hopefully get a phone call either way (i.e. if they return you to duty or want to go forward with the MEB) from your assigned PEBLO.

At this early stage there's not a great deal you can do besides wait to hear from them. I hope your 'case' goes smoothly and you receive the outcome you are looking for. As you can see from the board some people's timelines go quickly and others take longer. Just be prepared to wait and remember no one will advocate better for you than you.

Assigned my PEBLO and filled out the initial MEB sheet. Waiting on my CC impact statement should be completed next week. What's next?
