IDES Timeline Question

Hello!

I am AD Air Force. Here is a little snippet of how my MEB stuff is going.

2023

Aug 8 - Code 37
Oct 10 - IDES referral sent to afpc
Oct 20 - Met with peblo to sign IDES
Nov 2 - MH VA Exam
° Uploaded to TOL 16 Nov
Dec 7 - VA Audiogram
° Uploaded to TOL 12 Dec
Dec 8 - C&P VA Exam

2024
Jan 4 - VA Diagnostic PFA (pulmonology)
Feb 9 - VA Diagnostic Exams
° EKG
° Lab work
° Echocardiogram

Since my last c&p exam resulted in needing follow-up appointments, does anyone know how much longer this process with take? Also, has anyone tried reaching out to a provider that did one of their c&p exams?

I'm going on 5 weeks from my last follow-up exam and I haven't seen anything uploaded in TOL.

I called VES to try and get a status update and they told me that they left a message for my c&p provider to return results to them as soon as possible but, they haven't heard back from him. VES also recommended that I try googling the provider, that did my c&p exam, to ask him if he is needing anymore information in regard to my case (they wouldn't give me his contact info due to privacy). I am not having any luck finding him. I reached out to my peblo for further guidance and she said to contact the VSO to try and get him to reach out to the provider. The VSO said he cannot reach out to the provider and to sit and wait.

My DOS is May 2024 and my peblo said I will have to sign a med hold mfr because it's likely I won't be done with this by then.

I read your status and thought I was reading my own… very similar on all fronts. My abbreviated timeline:
-July 2023/Code37
-26 Oct 23/“Full MEB Required”
-Dec 2023/C&P exams begin
-6 Feb 2024/last C&P exam

Since then crickets… reached out to my VA MSC many times, all of which were replied with a flippant response that lacked initiative, or just ignored entirely. Touched base with my bases PEBLOs today (this isn’t my first MEB so I’ve gotten to know them all lol), they were cordial but said they hadn’t received anything from the VA yet so my case has been at a standstill. I too have a sep date of May 2024, but I’ve dismissed that due to on-going MEB.

Thinking of trying to get ahold of someone else at the VA. My MSC seems either new or just incompetent. I’ve called and emailed VES multiple times and they confirmed that everything was sent to the VA on 26 Feb, and again earlier this week when I inquired.

Keep me posted if you make any headway :)

Worth noting as well that I have nothing visible on VA.gov or ebenefits. It seems like some folks are able to track their progress on the site, but mine still shows “you don’t have any claims”, which after completing 5 C&P exams is anything but true…

Haha twins!
This process is definitely taking longer than I expected. I hope we hear something soon! I'll definitely keep you updated!

VES told me that they haven't sent my stuff to the VA yet because they're waiting on my last exam dbq to be submitted.
When I check VA.gov, or the app, I get the same thing as you. I'm not sure how others are seeing their progress on there but I wish I was able to.

Just an update! Nothing new really and my case still isn't progressing. I did get a hold of my provider and they had VES contact me to explain the process. Essentially VES stated since I have so many claims, it's taking a while in the QA process. I also had to sign a 6 mo extension because my MEB won't be completed by my DOS.
I have also been scheduled another Diagnostic appointment for April 15. Fingers crossed that this will be the last appointment and things will start progressing!

Dang sorry to hear about the extension & additional appointment. Delays that appear to have been avoidable are incredibly frustrating.

As for me, I went round and round in circles for several weeks across VA, VES, and the Dr who performed the exam. It turns out the VA was actually missing a dental exam of mine, and both VES & Dentist stated emphatically that it was submitted back in February. I called the VA again in desperation on 8 Apr trying to figure out how to get things moving. That lady seemed to be able to sort it out, because I was notified that VA now has my missing exam report.

So I believe I am waiting for my claims to be turned over to raters now. It’s starting to feel like I’m getting close. I also had to re-submit my CIS this week due to its expiration.

11 Oct 23 - Updated CIS submitted “Do not retain”
24 Oct 23 - Package sent to AFPC
26 Oct 23 - FL4 Received “Full MEB required”
7 Nov 23 - Notified by PEBLO that package will be sent to VA
15 Nov 23 - Contacted by VA MSC
5 Feb 24 - C&P exams complete (5 total)
27 Feb 24 - all DBQs loaded into Tricare
8 Apr 24 - Missing report loaded to Tricare
10 Apr 24 - Signed updated CIS (expired)
15 Apr 24 - VA claim in Decision Phase
15 Apr 24 - Signed 618
17 Apr 24 - MyFSS email received
24 Apr 24 - Claim closed on VA.gov
25 Apr 24 - Received proposed VA 90%
29 Apr 24 - Contacted PEBLO, no results yet

Finally seeing some progress so I felt let posting my full timeline. I too was told to extend my DOS by 6mos, which seems unnecessary if my IPEB results should be imminent.

So two days between Va app closed to get DOD rating?

I just had mine close on 7Aug

I am hoping it gets back by next week

I think it depends. I just happened to check my VA app after I received the second MyFSS email. Then I contacted my peblo the next day then she had me come in.

I hope you hear something soon!

Update:
August 15 - I received my orders! I didn't get a notification or email, I just checked my prda and it was there in the "Orders" section. Effective retirement date is 01 October
