Jan 2011 TIME LINE

It is important to recognize that there are fantastic PEBLOs out there. It might make sense to write a letter or submit a comment card lauding their performance when they do a good job. We want to keep those good ones and help them to get the recognition they deserve!

I have already pushed my comments and praise up for the wonderful job and help I have recieved from her.

Results are in

Local Board 19 JAN 11
Sent to IPEB 21 JAN 11
Result 4 MAR 11
TDRL 50% reevaluate 6 months, combat related

I guess the board met on monday but the wounded warrior had to be in the process so it took a few more days to notify the PEBLO.

WOW! congrats! I am sure I will be waiting longer because my medical condition was not combat related... hope you are happy with the results!

Update, talked to peblo she said it is taking about 9-11 weeks to get back packages from afpc its now week 7 for me... hope it comes soon.

I just got my results today and it was 40% permanent retirement. My package was mailed 4 Feb, received at board on 9 Feb, the findings are marked 4 Mar and received on 9 Mar. So mine was exactly 4 weeks and a great result. I hope they can speed yours up and get you an answer.

Awesome, you should get your orders fast too. I signed my results on 16 Feb and had my orders on 18 Feb with my requested retirement date of 27 March 11 approved by the SAF.

I just received a letter from the VA. It basically said they are sorry for taking long. Has anyone else received the same letter and how long after that until you get your PEB package back?

I get that letter every so often. I did my physical with them over a year ago. I don't know if I get the "still being reviewed" because I'm AD or they're just that slow. BTW, my board was submitted in December. I'm told I cannot be part of the pilot program because that was enacting in January. Is this true? Seems unfair... I have a feeling the VA could take forever once I'm finally discharged. Anyone have a timeline for the VA to catch up with you?

I plan on not accepting TDRL due to my conditions permanently hindering me from service. Do I have the right mentality there?

Has any one on the month of Jan that sent their package up to AFPC received any results back? I called my peblo yesterday and he notified me that my package was sent back to AFPC from the VA. He said it might change but not more than likely. Now i know that I might be receiving 60% for asthma. Not sure if it is PDRL or TDRL. I am hoping PDRL.

My IDES package went up Dec 2010. On 21MAR2011, my VA rep (MSC) called me and told my rating to me (60%). I called my PEBLO the next day, she said it typically takes 2 weeks to get the AFPC decision. I e-mailed my PEBLO on 11APR2011 to ask if she could check with AFPC. She e-mailed back that they have my package and I should hear within the week. I'm rather anxious because I REALLY REALLY wanna separate by end of May. We'll see. Will update the DEC 2010 timelines thread when I get my AFPC info.

Wow, I received my rating from the VA around the same time. Hopefully it works for both of us real soon.
