I don't remember the exact date my provider started the process, but I know it was all messed up. (this base is a joke)

19 Dec 24 - CIS Signed/MH filled out NARSUM
18 Feb 25 - Peblo assigned
19 Mar 25 - AFPC instructed full MEB
26 Mar 25 - Peblo Briefing
26 Mar 25 - SHA sent to peblo

I will update as more comes in but knowing this base this is gonna be a shitty timeline lol
 
28 April 25- Still no contact from PEBLO or VA. Not a single word in a whole month.
 
HEARD SOMETHING back from one of the PEBLOs FINALLY!!! "We are backlogged. You were directed to a FULL MEB and you have about 15 cases ahead of you. We will reach out to you by end of next week." I just want to get these VA exams scheduled and over with because I have horrible anxiety not knowing what they are going to ask me. (I just went through a court case last month where I got grilled about my SA, I know it wont be anything like that but its just fresh on my traumatized brain lol)
 
It has officially been 2 months since I sent my SHA to my PEBLO and still no contact from MSC/PEBLO. A month ago there was 15 cases ahead of me and still no movement. I LOVE AFDW!!!!

Ive slowly been going crazy from the waiting game too. Hang in there it'll happen eventually for you.
 
PEBLO office said "We anticipate processing your case this month." so thats good right?? lol
 
I recieved an email today from the PEBLO office, it was to let people know they are backlogged so much that they are doing a group initial briefing tomorrow instead of one on one. I responded to this email and said I already did that and sent my SHA in. They then responded "You will not need to attend. I will review your records and if everything is there we will move forward with the VA. Your review will be done today."......

UH OH I think they weren't tracking my case properly even though it's been over 2 months and I've been bothering them. I'm so over this already. LET ME OUT!!! Youre telling me you only needed a day to send it over to the VA and not two months.

I had a feeling because the PEBLO who is reaching out now is a different one than I had before, so I think the old one left and I fell into the cracks.

This gives me a bit of hope that some of my paperwork will at least make it up to the IPEB soon. I haven't heard anything for a hot minute now :( looking at all of the boards and comparing the branches, the Air Force is definetely moving the slowest. I can't imagine what's been happening with the all the red tape...
 
Happened to me with my PEBLO she moved to Germany and the new one didn’t know I existed until I called her.
 
I am about to turn into a Karen. I just got a new email trying to schedule me for ANOTHER initial briefing. This is the THIRD time. I don't think they ever reviewed it like they said they would. I tried to follow up and asked if it had been reviewed and the response was "if we need anything from you we will tell you." I'm so over this.
 
Well good and bad news... Got a new PEBLO from JBAB instead of JBA. She reviewed my case and told me I need an updated NARSUM and CIS because its been so long. This is great because the MH provider that did mine is not here anymore. yyaaaayyyyy I love starting all over.
 
I'm stationed at DMAFB, and this has been a rough estimate of my timeline (so I understand the waiting game with the PEBLOs):

12DEC22: I got a TBI
08OCT23: Was informed that I will most likely go up for a MEB
24JAN24: Was notified about IRILO and told to talk to my PCM about getting my NARSUM done (rip my pcm team, I got really annoying)
FEB24: Signed commander's statement
JUN24: NARSUM was finished - however I was not informed
AUG24: Got fed up with the wait, talked with my shirt - My shirt didn't know I was going through a MEB
By this point, I've had two different PEBLO's
SEP24: Reviewed my commander's statement again
Late OCT24: Case was submitted first time (For the whole needing a full MEB thing)
07NOV24: Got a call, told me they were going to have to resubmit my case because something was wrong
18NOV24: Informed it was submitted
27NOV24: Was informed that I will be going through a full MEB
04DEC24: Initial MEB briefing
05DEC24: Talked with my VA rep and was informed to watch my email/phone for appointments
15DEC24-18JAN25: Completed C&P exams
At this point, I was told that my PEBLO at the time was moved to a different part of my MTF, so I am on my fourth PEBLO
05MAR25: Everything comes back and I get called in to talk about VA findings
07MAR25: I submit a rebuttal, and was pending another PCM to review my case
04APR25: Was informed about findings and was told they will need to rewrite my NARSUM
27MAY25: My NARSUM was finally finished, and I was called in to concur with the findings - my PEBLO submits my case to AFPC same-day
28MAY25: I get my FSS email saying that they have my case and it is now pending, I was told 2-8 weeks before I will hear anything
26JUN25: It's been four weeks since my case was submitted, lot of people at my base have been pending for at least 7 weeks now

I can keep you updated if you want, but my hopes are really not that high right now, I am very tired of this process

I'm right behind you..except my PEBLO is about 6 weeks late to submit my final packet to AFPC. Every week it seems like my package moves back 2 steps then up only one step. I honestly thought I was going insane this week. Eternal groundhog day.

Honestly, I'd really recommend talking to patient advocate, because they should be able to get some answers for why it's so long. Eternal groundhogs day though, that is a really good way to explain the whole hurry up and wait part of the MEB
 
Am I being punk'd? Why does no one know what is going on with my case. Coming up on 4 months of no movement... I dont think my case will ever get past the PEBLOs and to the VA.

Honestly, I am at the point I just want to give up and just get kicked out some other way. I don't want to be in anymore. My mental health is suffering. I am trying to push through but it's so hard when there has been no movement in over 4 months. It bothers me that this all could have been avoided if people were doing their job. On top of work, I have to do squadron PT and I know I am going to cause trouble because I just don't give a fuck, I should have been out or at least close to out by now. I am so depressed I can't get out of bed... you expect me to run 2 miles??? I swim every day because it helps me not kill myself but that doesn't translate to running. Luckily, I am going to MH next month so maybe they can help out by harassing the PEBLO until my shit gets done.

Was just like you, to the tee actually. Every day was a struggle, and I was in limbo for MONTHS! Just remember long term, don’t think short term. There is light at the end of the tunnel, and having retirement especially medical is worth the wait, trust me. You will be kicking yourself in the face if you try and rush. Sit back, and try your best to embrace it. Don’t do anything you can’t physically or want to. People will be out to get you, retaliation will occur—it happened to me. Just keep going!

One thing that I've done recently is taking Monday and Fridays off. Mentally, I've been able to accomplish more like exercising, cooking healthy meals, and doing projects around the house. I'm not allowed "traditional leave" its just "leave aka sitting at my house local area". But its made time fly by so much quicker and idgaf about work. Im only there 3 days a week.
 
Still no movement and I have been assigned a different peblo again. This is the 4th one.
 
Another update... I asked the new PEBLO if my PCM sent her the NARSUM Addendum that I have been trying to get for almost 2 months...... this is her response

"I don’t see it in your file however, you are already directed to a FULL MEB so it’s not really needed at this time. I will be sending your 0819 to them for completion though to start your IDES process."

So that is 2 months wasted for nothing.
