I wish that’s how fast mine went. My va case was closed on 24 Feb and I still haven’t heard anything from the dod. I also have a line numberAugust 24- Hospitalized -Diagnosed
16 sept 24 - PEBLO initial Contact
25 Sept 24- NARSUM Done
1 Oct 24- case went to IRILO
22 Oct- 8nov24- I was on leave case paused until I returned
22 Oct 24 - IRILO recommend Full MEB
23-Oct 24 - returned SHA part A to PEBLO
8 Nov 24- Peblo handed my case over to VA
8 Nov 24 - VA MSC contact
12 Nov 24 - OTF meeting with MSC filled out 21-526ez ( va claims form )
13 Nov 24 - returned VA Claims form back to MSC (only gave me 2 days to sign and return) had around 32 claims
14 Nov 24 - VA called to schedule c&p exams
15 Nov 24 - first C&p exam
3 Dec 24 -last c&p exam , had 8 exams all together.
30 December 24 - PEBLO received all exams - MEB met unfit determination
2 January 25 -Signed AF IMT form 618, MEB sent to IPEB for unfit/fit and rating/s.

Also I had a line number for Staff sergeant and on my retirement orders AFPC did retire me as a Staff sergeant and not my current rank of SrA .
My case finally closed on the VA app. I received my first MyFSS email on 4th February and then my case closed on 12th March. I called the VA for the letter and they emailed it to me. Proposed rating 100% - which my peblo told me on 7th anyway.
I haven’t received the second MyFSS email and MyFSS doesn’t show any open cases. I just want to know my DOD rating and get everything signed and over with!
Anyone else have this? It feels like it’s been forever since we’re in Japan and the time difference makes us a whole working day ahead.

Every time I tried asking for my proposed benefits letter, I get told that they cannot email it to me. What exactly does it say? I know I’m proposed at 100%, but I’m interested to see if it breaks it down by condition. I’m with you with on wanting to receive the second email. I want to see my DOD ratings and hurry up and sign my 1180. Based on the proposed VA of 100%, I know my DOD should fall over the 30% so I’m ready to accept the findings.
It sucks for me as well since I’m overseas. Anything the IPEB decides in Randolph, Texas will take a day longer for my PEBLO to present the findings since the duty day is basically over by the time the duty day at AFPC starts.
I hate the inconsistent timeline for returning the DOD rating. The “goal” timeline is 5 days for the IPEB to come up with the proposed distribution, but nothing happens if they go beyond that. However, the service members timeline is set at exactly 6 days to make elections or else your case is automatically processed as concurrence with the IPEB and VA.
I’m ready to sign my documents and get out at this point. This process is miserable due to the fact of being in a limbo status and not knowing your true DOS until your orders drop.

I just found out a few days ago. I called the VA to see if they sent my ratings back to the PEB and somehow got my proposed ratings letter sent to me instead. Very pointless besides letting you know your proposed rating. How long have you been waiting for your second MyFSS email? My VA claim was closed on March 10th, so I'm hoping for that email sometime this week. Others seem to get it within 1-3 business days though. I called the disability department today (2105655655) and they said the med board made a decision Thursday but my case manager was off Friday and he’s back today so I should hear back this week. I’m really hoping I get it and sign it tomorrow so I can sort out hhgs before PCS season. We’re in Japan and I don’t want to get stuck waiting.I just found out a few days ago. my Va claim online said case closed Feb 24th 2025 and that I was sent a decision letter. I got it emailed which it only had my proposed rating nothing else. After viewing others timelines on how quick those got their dod rating back but I have still received nothing I called my MSC last week and he told me that my VA proposed rating wasn’t sent to the PEB until 12 March. So there is some inaccuracies with the VA website and when they actually send it to the PEB. I just called that number you provided and they told me I should be hearing back sometime this week. Just a heads up: this is the lead disability case manager at AFPC. There's about 10 people under him. For people reading this, the office you're looking for is AFPC/DPFDD. I decided to call yesterday and see if they had any news. I was told that they weren’t tracking anything in their system, but the guy I spoke with checked the VA system and said that they just received my ratings that day. He also told me that my case manager was off yesterday and to expect the MyFSS email and an email from my PEBLO later on this week.The phone call worked. I got my email this morning when I woke up! Maybe it was the same case manager but if not give them a call!
I feel more confident now about my case. I’m sure if I didn’t call, my ratings would have taken longer to come back to them. With that though, he wasn’t too happy about me calling him on that line. I just told him that I would never call him again haha. Thanks again for sharing the number!
