Team,
I just received my narrative summary and my PEBLO is telling me to expect a severance and a couple of friends that manage MEBs for the Army told me I am getting railroaded; they basically told me to plan to fight. I currently have 15 yrs and 6 months of service and am being put out for torn tendons and labrum in right shoulder (dominant arm). I have had two surgeries and the second could not repair the issue, Civilian Ortho has said my shoulder needs to be replaced. I brought the notes to the PCM and he put me in for a MEB vs approving a shoulder replacement.
My narrative summary has come back with only one ailment not meeting retention standards, my shoulder. Again, my PEBLO told me to expect 10-20% because its only one ailment which does not meet retention standards. I am just struggling to believe that my right shoulder could not get a higher percentage (one that's enough for a Med Retirement, especially since my shoulder requires a replacement surgery. I am attaching a copy of my DA 3947, the narrative summary about my shoulder, and the VA examine of my shoulder (I can provide more if need be).
Again, I have 15 yrs and 6 months of service. I feel like I have a lot to lose and I'm just being tossed aside. I am just reaching out for any help (I was given 5 CALENDAR days (so due by 25 APR) to either conquer or not conquer and they drop this on me on a Friday afternoon).
