Does anyone know if the IPEB is quicker while going through an LDES instead of the IDES?
It can be but not always. All it does is skip the C&P exams by the VA. Not a good deal though since IDES has more protections and the military MUST follow the VA ratings for a condition for IDES. For LDES the military can rate the condition whatever they want regardless of how the VA rates it. Also, in IDES replaced LDES and has more protections. Its not worth the risk to choose LDES just to get done quicker. Also, sometimes the hold up is in the later part of the process meaning that the extra time for exams didn't affect the overall timeline. I have seen that a lot.
