MEB/NARSUM Questions

Hi!

New to the forum and seeking some information and guidance. I'm AD Air Force and have just had my MEB process started for a medical situation that happened to me in 2018! Some background info:

-Seizure episode x2 with in patient hospital stay now being managed with medication and followed by a neurologist
-Migraines; managed with same medication + botox injections by by neurologist.

I just received my NARSUM and I'm curious that there is only information from my PCM. My neurologist is a Navy Doc. Will he be consulted in this matter at all? Also what is the time line usually for the complete process to be complete for me to find out what the results would be. Any information would be appreciated, with the small information provided; would I be determined as "unfit?"

NARSUM stands for narrative summary. It is usually written by your PCM, but should include a summary of relevant information from specialist, ie your neurologist. you might consider talking to your PCM to see why the info from your specialist was not included. You could ask for an IMR via your PEBLO.

Timelines are highly variable, but I would suggest you NOT make any decisions that would cost you money until a decision is in hand. Hope all goes your way.
