Medical issues

Hello all,

I don’t know if this is the right part of the forum for this post but has anyone ever ran into the issue where your MTF will not accept a diagnosis or findings from the VA DBQ forms filled out from the C&P exams and what they did if anything? I know I should expect ratings in about a month or two at the minimum but like everyone else i’m dealing with a lot from my command and they need specific paperwork for everything im dealing with any they’re not really giving me any leeway. And a lot of things are derived from my medical record but not outright diagnosed as they were at the C&P exams. Any advice?

Personally I was SOL, Marine side of the house. Your PCM has ultimate jurisdiction over your actual limitations being duty and PT restrictions, and your doctor can simply disagree with your VA diagnoses. You can do absolutely nothing to force the hand of your PCM to issue you more or less restrictions.

You're on a medboard... you should discuss being able to draft up your own PT plan so that you can do what's best for you. Discuss with your leadership and draft up a plan they'll approve, show up for accountability and then go do your PT plan and keep a PT log discussing what you did, how you did, etc. Do everything you can to appease your leadership and adjust fire as necessary.

This is the time to capitulate, even with those that you have fought back and forth with as far as your interests go.

Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. Situation’s stressful but understand I’ve gotta bide my time. Hopefully these rating proposals come in soon so it can take a load of stress off dealing with military
