Excellent. If you are retired and waiving retired pay for va compensation than you are qualified for crsc. In order to have crsc approved, the service branch will decide if your disabilitirs being claimed for crsc are combat related. For PTSD, on your crsc app, you must explain in your own words how your claimed disability is because of direct combat. A good example of this is a narrative from an award that details how you and your platoon were under fire / engaged or even an evaluation report explains direct fire contact from enemy forces occurred and than stating on your app that the particular engagement mentioned on the evidence documents caused your PTSD. Don't just submit med board docs and retirement orders saying combat related because if that's all you use as a justification, it will be denied. Don't just drop a load of med docs and other docs on them as evidence without giving clarification on how the evidence is directly related to direct combat and how it caused your PTSD. An example is if you submit a valor award narrative or an NCOER, highlight the fact that your ncoer states 300 combat reconnaissance patrols executed successfully or returned fire on a enemy sniper and than follow that evidence with a word document detailing that it caused you to develop PTSD symptoms.
