Need help on timeline

Hi. I am Air Force, yes. Just really hoping I get out soon.
Just so you know the Navy and Marine Corps IPEB isn't conducted where the Air Force conducts their IPEB. They even send your package to a different VA to get rated if you're found unfit. Navy and Marine Corps packages get sent to the VA in Rhode Island Air Force and Army get sent to another VA location if I'm not mistaken.

You sound awful cocky - mess around with the FPEB if you want too. They’ll find you fit and have you back at work before you realize what happened. Sometimes you just need to take what you can get and roll - the Navy leans toward fit findings, but if you wanna learn the hard way be my guest...
I'm missing 40% of the bone and tendon within my hip, have 3 screws in it and I have statements from specialists saying it will fail by the time I'm 40. I'm not gonna let them screw me out of 9 years of service cause they're incompetent.

I’m just sayin’ - stay humble. There is always a desk for you to sit at while in a PLD status. You’re not out until you’re out...

Okay dude, you're kinda being a d#$% for no reason. We get it. I understand the situation and have been riding a desk for the last 2 years because of my condition. So yes I understand I can just be held on station until my eaos but I'm not just gonna let the navy screw me because you're over here trying to scare people. What type of experience do you personally have? Are you a board member? Did you lose your percent and end up being found fit? If the answer to these questions is no then please only provide information you know to be true and stop trying to make people feel grateful for being shafted.

Yo calm down - I’m on step 4 of the IDES process. If you cannot handle some constructive criticism from me about this, life outside of the military is gonna be difficult for you. I’ve been in 23 years and as an Officer, I seen hundreds of Sailors go through a similar process like this. All In saying is that nothing is 100% certain. I don’t know why that’s so hard for you to understand...

I understand the situation but your criticism is not constructive and I know nothing is certain. I understand all outcomes of my situation and thank you for what little useful information may be riddled in your posts, but trying to scare people with limited information is not helpful.

Sure thing; happy trails...

**Update:
Talked with my lawyer on 18FEB20. He said that my file was definitely incomplete and is having me get a new range of motion test because my disability should be at 30 minimum for the DOD. After I have that, he is submitting a VARR and said a formal board would be a waste of time without adding a new condition. Once the rating is bumped up it will go back through the PEB and receive a 'Retired' rating. He also said that the whole 'changing someone from UNFIT to FIt' was a myth and the only time they do is when the member expresses that it is their intention to go back to a FIT status. Lawyer said that with the VARR and new consideration that i should be out by June as retired versus SEP.

*Update:
Did not do a formal board. Did a VARR to have my rating reevaluated with new evidence on 25FEB20. Lawyer said with new evidence that my rating should be bumped up to 40% DOD and given the new label of 'Retired' and i should be out by June. Apparently a formal board is only to contest fit/unfit findings and not argue ratings so it is not surprising that people get found fit or unfit after doing a formal since that is their primary purpose.

That's basically what I've seen especially with a 10% rating. I've read a post where someone received a 20% rating and decided to do formal and they found that person fit. The commissary ain't worth it lol.
Yeah, take the money and run.....

Well that person should have done a VARR and not a formal. Formal is only to contest a fit or unfit verdict. Not the rating. So if you go up with an unfit at 10 they're gonna think you want to be fit.

Makes sense
