I am AGR at this time, and have been on a profile for about a year. I have been diagnosed with Syringomyelia (SM) in my lower spine. If you don't about about (SM), then I will just say it is rare and most doctors don't know much about it. It took awhile for my base doctor to believe me that it causes severe pain, and now after several visits to her she is putting in my package. I am not sure where she is sending my package, I am assuming Wright Patt, Ohio?

My base doctor tried to steam roll me into telling me, "they will not med retire or discharge you". She has said this several times. So I was just going to up and quit my AGR job to find a better job for my back. I am Intelligence so I sit at a computer for 10 hours a shift. I finally started researching and figured I mise well try for benefits before I get out. (SM) is one of the 41 service connected diseases recognized by the VA, and you can not have this in the military. This is an automatic 30% rating.

My questions are,

What do I need to do on my own to assure I get taken care of by my base?

Where did my medical doctor send my package?

What do I need to expect from here on out?

Thanks and I only created a new thread because I didn't see one similar to mine. Thanks!
