No updates or change in status

On the 10th of September I wrote to the MyPers help desk:

"I am writing to inquire about the status of my case. I got a letter dated 4/13
stated that my case was complete and the next step was for me to attend a
survivors benefits briefing which I had the end of May. My understanding is
that my file is then sent back to the board to be reviewed and finalized. When
I reached out to MyPers to inquire, they instructed me to reach out to you
directly for help. Are there any additional updates available at this point?"

I got this as a response :

"Good morning! Your case hasn't been closed out yet. It is currently going
through the approvals portion of the process. Once the approvals portion is
complete, your case will then be moved to case closure. Once your case is
complete, I will then send all necessary documentation to DFAS and send you a
copy as well. Please let me know if you need anything else or have any other
questions. Have a great day!"

It seems as though nobody knows what's going on. I keep getting different answers and time-lines.
