Pearl Harbor Timeline

About how long should you wait before calling him?
Yeah give it a bit longer. After getting to the PEB phase, I first called the VA after like 2 weeks, and I first called Jeff at the 1 month mark. It took a total of 57 days to get my proposed ratings so I burdened myself too early. My advice would be to hold off as long as you can before calling anyone. Maybe wait till 45 days at PEB, because ask me how I know, it will consume you the amount of calling and checking the VA app lol

My PEBLO sent me this this morning. Any idea what it could mean timeline?

“You have been found UNFIT and your case is currently with the VA-Disability Rating Officer. No rating has been posted yet.”

Currently Pamela, but I’ve talked to others recently based on leave I think.
She's mine as well. I know she returned from leave last week and all she told me when I asked for an update was that it also was at the VA Disability Rating Officer, but not if I was Fit or Unfit.

20MAY2024: Referred to MEB
06JUN2024: Orientation, legal brief and IDES election
23JUL2024: Met with PEBLO for first time (I believe this is accurate, I’m going off my own calendar and she rescheduled about 5 times before we finally connected)
31JUL2024: Met with VA MSC, claims pushed off to QTC for scheduling
08AUG2024: Finished final C&P exam
14AUG2024: All exam reports posted on TOL
17SEP24: Pre-Sign/initial appointment with DES counsel
18SEP24: NARSUM signed, MEB pushed to convening authority
07OCT24: Found unfit, package sent to VA for ratings

Got that update from my lawyer today, he said that packages are staying with the VA 45-60 days right now. He also said to call him in about a month and he’ll most likely be able to see my rating so that’s cool I guess.

@NavySubs2004 I’d bet a six pack you get your findings before I do.

Also, for all those who would like semi decent updates… I would highly suggest asking your lawyer to be that person for you. When we had our pre-sign appointment, I asked if he would be a good person to ask for updates or questions and he’s been very fast in getting back to me the two times I have reached out.

My attorney is who I get most of the updates from. I called VA today, said based on the time stamps on my file, it is actively being looked at. In the “decision phase” whatever the hell that is

Have you gotten your findings yet? I am under CP and am about two months off of your timeline. My stuff was sent to PEB on mid Nov. How did you learn you were unfit? My POC list is a ghost town, felt like i had to remind them of their steps the whole time. Tried calling VA just to see what they would tell me, but they are cryptic and havent had any luck. They keep telling me I should call the MSC. One call yielded that my stuff was assigned a rater. Timeline below:

21 Aug - Referred
24 Sep - Met with PEBLO
27 Sep - Met with MSC filled out claim form
8 Oct - 14 Oct - C&Ps Exam completed (3 Appts, 18 claims)
16 Oct - All exam results posted to TOL
4 Nov - NARSUM ready, submitted Rebuttal/IMR request
12 Nov - NARSUM Signed, sent to PEB

Nothing yet. I checked in with my lawyer last week or the week before and he said no movement, but nothing to hold it up either. Based on others, it’s usually about two months after you’re found unfit that you receive your findings so I’m hoping to hear something in the next two weeks or so.

Lawyer called yesterday to tell me I was found unfit on 20Nov. The only thing she offered was about 45-60 day turnaround from the VA which is most in line with the latest VA Monday morning report.

Well I’ve sailed right past 60 days, attorney told me VA is running long right now
Average days to complete, month to date for Honolulu (assumption based on you being processed from Pearl Harbor) is 72.4 days. If the time is hacked when the claim is sent to VA from PEB. That should mean hopefully soon for you. Take the attachment with a grain of salt. I tried to understand exactly what the time entails whether is from the time claim is submitted or time from PEB sending to VA but haven't been able to find a good answer yet.
