I was medically discharged from the Army in June 2023 with 70% PTSD for VA and DOD. Was assigned a combined 100% P&T for VA and 80% DOD. IAW with regulations, I was scheduled for an RFE for my PTSD around 6 months from my effective date of rating. Had my RFE with a video appointment with VES on January 18, 2024. Using the VA website, my case in in Step 3 - Gathering Evidence, etc. I can see where a DBQ was mentioned in three entries in the timeline. Any information with respect to how long it may take for the RFE to be finalized? Will it take as long as my initial claim? Thank you.

Waiting is hard. No two cases are the same, so it is hard to predict. But generally RFE takes less time than an initial.
Thank you. I was hoping that and RFE wouldn't take as long as the initial, but I know that anyone who thinks they can predict what will happen in any military/VA situation is either a hopeless romantic or a fool. Appreciate all the sound advice that you give throughout the forum.
