3 Oct 24 - MyFSS email notification.

I'm currently waiting on my VA rating, I was told this could take 2-4 weeks but wanted to hear other people's timelines. I'm growing impatient, I just want to get out and be with my fiancé. I asked my PEBLO for a status and they just said it was still "Pending". Any info will help, thanks.

Yeah, I received myFSS email notification 7 Oct 2024 and my PEBLO's told me that due to holidays approaching and the new PACT Act law timelines are all messed up.

Im at ramstein also. Your timeline is way better than mine. I got my code 37 applied in Feb 2024 and got the FSS email on Oct 2nd. I was told 2 to 4 weeks also. When I call the VA they said it's in the decision phase ( which means there was a rater assigned and it was already rated). I've spoke to a bunch of people and from ramstein who've MEB'd out and they all said ratings took about 3 weeks. It's definetly nerve wrecking waiting for the ratings then another 2 to 3 weeks for orders when you hear some people been waiting over a month, but remember every case is different. Let's keep eachother updated on the progress on this thread.

Whats the myFSS email…what does it say? I hadn’t even got one i’ve had my code 37 since July I’ve done all my exams. No proposed rating yet is that by mail or in person?

The Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO) at your base Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) sent your Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) package to the Air Force Personnel Center Physical Disability Operations Branch. The Physical Disability Operations team is reviewing your package to ensure the documentation is current and complete. Incomplete MEB packages are returned to your base PEBLO for correction as it is vital the information is accurate and current in order for the Informal Physical Evaluation Board (IPEB) to make a determination. Once it is verified your package is complete, Physical Disability Operations will transfer your completed package into a Disability Evaluation System (DES) case file for review by the IPEB.

We have the exact same timeline, I received my FSS notification on 3 OCT 2024 as well, please keep me updated! I was told that I should hear something back within 2 weeks by my PEBLO, but now they're saying 4 - 8 weeks because of how busy it is this time of year.

I got my email on oct 2nd, question, have you called the VA or the ODC to get updates? I tried the ODC on the 15th and the paralegal I spoke with told me my case had a disposition from IPEB stating I was unfit for duty, however after that determination was made they requested the ratinga fron the VA in order to finalize weather I'd be getting medically retired or separated. So I read the guidelines and it says VA typically tries the get the ratings done withing 3 weeks and they have had the request for about 3 weeks now. But when I call the VA they always say the same thing "it's in the decision phase" or "the proposed ratings have not been finalized". I spoke with someone from medical over here at ramstein and they said they heard the ratings people are back up about 2 to 3 months right now. I take info with a grain of salt but have you seen or heard abything different?

2-3 months is correct. I was told the Navy uploaded about 6k cases and that pushed everyone back. I was supposed to be on track to receive my ratings next week, but now I’m looking at the end of November, early December. My package was submitted to the PEB on the 23 of September, so I’ve been waiting and will be waiting for a while. But I expect things to turn around really quickly soon.

So if you look In the Navy thread, majority of all of them are getting their ratings and decision letters back. So is Air Force should be next!
God I hope so, my case was submited on the 2nd of october, do you think it's a longshot of getting my ratings back in November?

My best bet is early December, and I think that’s fair. Hopefully late November for you. I believe the VA does 5-10 cases per day so we shall see

I'm being told the same thing every time I call the VA. I've tried speaking with VERA also but its pretty much more of the same. I'm really hoping that I'll hear back from them sometime in November.

I’ve been seeing a lot of folks hitting between 50-60 days In the PEB before getting ratings. Which suckssss, I’ve been in the PEB since September 10th found unfit September 18th

Happy that you found out so quick, I do wish it was the same all across the board!

I wasn’t actually told I was unfit till last week, I had complained to my PEBLO saying the MSC was saying I had to be found unfit At the PEB before they give me proposed ratings. So she reached out to the PEB action officer and they told me I was unfit. I guess PEBLO’s don’t get told if your unfit anymore

That’s interesting, and the amount of different info that’s out there is interesting too
