I med-boarded on 20 Dec 2023, I received my last paycheck from DFAS a couple of weeks later but still have not received my severance pay. Is that normal? I was under the impression it would all come in around the same time. The strange part is I have just received my VA letter for my benefits and on there they said they saw that I received a disability severance for said amount, but I have not gotten anything. I'm just confused about what that means.

It can take a long time. The bigger the severance check the longer as there are more levels of approval needed. Have you contacted DFAS yet to inquire? That would be my first move.
I tried calling but I couldn’t find the right section for severance, I tried 3 different ones and they didn’t work. I’m going to try and call my finance and see if they can help.
Okay. He probably can't help on on getting update but he can give you the information on how to contact DFAS. You have to navigate their labyrinth of options while calling to connect with someone that can help.
