It depends if your high 36 DoD pay is greater than your VA amount. If DoD is bigger, then you get the remaining amount each month. Is there any benefit to a 100% DoD Rating other than tricare and guaranteed 75% of pay with offset?
Yeah thats not gonna happen, 4700 a month from VA vs. an E6 @13yrs.It depends if your high 36 DoD pay is greater than your VA amount. If DoD is bigger, then you get the remaining amount each month.
have you heard anything? we are on similar timelines. when i called a week ago i got 55 (which would put results middle/ late march) more days. then called tuesday and got 3 weeks so very unsure …. same guy that i talked toUpdate:
I was told I’d hear something last week and when I spoke to my PEBLO again, he refused to look in the system and told me to wait another month. Not the news I wanted to hear. Calling the PEB this past Monday the system went down and there are allegedly 3 doctors on vacation/sick leave right now.
No update on my side. A guy who went up the same time as I did got his findings back yesterday. A lot of results at my command have been coming back over the last week so I am hoping I hear something soon. I haven’t called the PEB office in a while mostly due to nerves about being told off by the guy for calling too much lolhave you heard anything? we are on similar timelines. when i called a week ago i got 55 (which would put results middle/ late march) more days. then called tuesday and got 3 weeks so very unsure …. same guy that i talked to
I have the same timeline as you and my VA claim was closed 14 Dec and my proposed ratings letter was dated 20 Dec.No update on my side. How do you do terminal leave through the IDES process if you know?Did your rating letter have the breakdowns of each percentage? Mines just has the overall rating while one of my friends got he full breakdown. And that’s good to hear that the timeline is speeding up. My command is starting to become toxic as my time there is coming to a close so the sooner I can drop my house hunting and terminal leave the better.
I can’t speak for all commands but with mines, once we receive our findings we are immediately ushered to complete whatever is left of our separation process (i.e. exams, TAPS, Capstone, etc) then once those are done, we receive our retirement date and if we have enough leave to no be there until that date, we route it. Our command is extra nice and allows us 20 days of house hunting leave (non-chargeable) so we can really make the days last to the end if neededHow do you do terminal leave through the IDES process if you know?
I didn't get a breakdown of my actual ratings until I got my findings. If you don't have one already you'll get one with your findings.Did your rating letter have the breakdowns of each percentage? When you got your findings, how long after accepting them is your EAS? Can you choose or request a closer EAS?I spoke with my PEBLO when I was accepting my findings, and sort of in passing asked this question. He'd mentioned that it was due to this similarly. I guess basically it is letting the MSC know the findings so that they can reach out for the exit interview upon receiving the findings accepted as well.
I appreciate it. My bad I should’ve made that clearer, I meant how long after you accept both findings and send it back with your PEBLO. How long after that is EAS?It seems that from date of acceptance to EAS is around 90 days. My VA letter is dated 22 JAN and I was also told 3-4 weeks when I called last week.
It takes roughly 30 days from the day you sign your findings and submit to your PEBLO to get retirement/sep orders. Typically from the day you receive those orders to EAS is 60 days.I appreciate it. have u heard anything yet? i keep calling PEB hotline and his has varied from 55 days then a week later 2-3 weeks then today 3-4 weeks. my PEBLO said two weeks ago 1-2 weeks and then friday he said a month or two lol. i’m guessing the PEB hotline guy is more accurate but very confused how it keeps jumping back and forth. anyone have any insight// wisdom ?Thought I give an update:
Called the PEB today and they said they just received my ratings back from the VA today and I had “3 to 4 more weeks”
No update on my end. Husband has convinced me to not call until after the 3-4 week timeline they gave. PEBLO just tells me I’m post QA and nothing morehave u heard anything yet? i keep calling PEB hotline and his has varied from 55 days then a week later 2-3 weeks then today 3-4 weeks. my PEBLO said two weeks ago 1-2 weeks and then friday he said a month or two lol. i’m guessing the PEB hotline guy is more accurate but very confused how it keeps jumping back and forth. anyone have any insight// wisdom ?
