Hello, I am trying to seek some information on what is conducted during this referral. I and in USMC Reserves, parachute injury, issued LOD letter, had surgery, didn't fix me, and Navy Doc said that "I am unfit" 2 months ago and recommended PEB or MEB. I've done PT and injections. I was just given an authorization letter to do a fitness for duty evaluation even though the Doctor already said "unfit" at one of my appointments.
What happens at this appointment as I've already been seen at the MTF and have records of it for 9 months?

For the Army a fit for duty exam is the MRP where they decide if they want to keep you on profile or send you to a full MEB via IDES. It may be different for Marines. Typically if you are referred to one of these exams they are going to recommend a full MEB.
