Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. My MEB packet has just been completed. I do not agree with my referring conditions. I need help to understand if this is something I can dispute, and how.
My initial meeting with the PEBLO there was an immediate red flag on my paper. I was referred for behavioral health. I expressed my concern to my PEBLO, sighting that I had Chrons, fibromyalgia, and migraines. That I wanted these conditions evaluated as well for consideration as other referring conditions. I was told that they would look at everything.
Today I was notified that my only refereeing conditions where depression, and PTSD. I was flabbergasted. I called my PEBLO. He explained that while yes, the army found that I had every condition I listed, that they would have retained me if I alone had Chrons, fibromyalgia and migraines. He said they would be evaluated by the VA, just not the army.
I looked in AR 40-501 (the reg they sighted) and found every condition there. Not to mention, the conditions criteria (severity) matches what it says in AR 40-501. It also matches what was said in the NARSUM. I understand that these conditions will be rated by the VA. However, I feel a disservice is being done and I can not understand why. My conditions meet the criteria to be medically discharged per AR-40-501. The reasoning on the NARSUM is that those conditions did not impede me doing my MOS (42A).
What is the true difference between referring me for PTSD & depression, versus referring me for all my conditions that individually, by themselves meet MEB referral standards?
Shall I let sleeping dogs lay and except what they have decided? Although, it is not the truth.
If I wanted to disagree how would I do that?
How long does this prolong my process? Everyday, coming to this instillation gets worse and worse. I'm not sure how much longer I can do this.
Any guidance, knowledge would be so helpful.
Thank you for your time.
