I've been on a profile for almost 2 yrs for a foot injury I've had multiple surgeries for. My LOD was only good for a year so I went to the VA for continuing care. While getting treatment at the VA I filed for disability and was granted 100% PT for various issues. A few weeks ago I went to the base medical group to get on a permanent profile so I didn't have to keep renewing it. Welp, while there I was informed that I'm getting MEB for ulcerative colitis-a diagnosis I was also recently given. The VA rated me 30% for IBS, however, now we know it's IBD. Anyway, what can I expect moving forward? I've been on mesalamine for a month now with little improvement on symptoms. I write this on my 3rd trip to the bathroom .
Additional info-I had a SI and was admitted and diagnosed with PTSD(rated 70%) while on AD orders, I also have herniated discs in lower back (rated 40%) and hip issues (rated 30%) I'm all kinds of messed up. My MOS is chaplain for retention purposes.
