Return to Duty but retiring

So I am a guardsman that got enough points for an active retirement (spent the last year on MedCon because I got hurt while on active duty). I was set to retire when I was hit with a MEB. They retirement was put on hold while I stayed on MedCon. Now I am being returned to duty but I want to retire. I thought I would be able to take my final leave out of this process but my Peblo says I have to go back to my unit. I'm being told that I have to start the retirement process all over again. I won't have any more active duty orders. Is this correct? Am I not supposed to be able to pickup where I left off prior to be assigned this MEB? I thought different from what I read. Thanks.

Being able to take leave will depend on your ARCCMD liaison and your commander. Your PEBLO does not decide what to do with your leave or orders. You will have to return to your unit for outprocessing, but you should be able to immediately retire as long as you meet all of the requirements.
