I really didn't see much on my C&P paperwork about that, but it's listed as a referred condition, so we'll see what they say.

Not to hijack but to keep info here, Does anyone know if they require EMG testing to prove/disprove radiculopathy? or are physicians findings adequate?

TSGT Twitch- when the VA did my evaluation they did not to any EMG. They just used my description of the pain and could see that i could not walk. That was it. i have been following Jessica's case carefully becasue i am curious to see it they will rate it. On the forum many Lower Lumber cases are rated at 20% is the 10% radiculopathy is key, and i do not want to be one of those team members who do 16 years and gets put out with a severance.

I am also going to watch Jessica's case carefully, for the reason that if I turn the wrong way a nerve gets caught between the joints and then I am down on the floor in some serious pain. I can not lean side to side. The VA is in the stage of reviewing the evidence.

I do not mean to sound stupid what should be 40% for the spine?

James below is an excerpt from the VASRD the gives the percent rating for the spine. Jessica's forward flexion was less thank 30 degrees therfore she should be rated at 40%

Unfavorable ankylosis of the entire cervical spine; or, forward flexion
of the thoracolumbar spine 30 degrees or less; or, (i am missing a word) of
the entire thoracolumbar spine............................................................................. 40% (i added the % sign)

I have 10 degrees leaning forward, and 10 degrees and 0 degrees for leaning to other side.

and thank for you explaining

They did EMG testing for my back/leg issue. Even though the testing showed normal nerve function on most nerves (which is ironic because I have damage/pain), they still listed radiculopathy and sciatica as persistent issues. FWIW, I wouldn't wish that damn test on anybody.

I had gone to a neurosurgery at the U of M, and he told that I have to start getting injections in the lower lumber...

Neurosurgeons unless they see specific issues with the discs will always recommend injections to help reduce swelling of the muscles/connective tissues that press on the nerves. Its one of those AHH i see theres a problem, but i just cut people so here is something to try. Its like tri-care saying my hip implant doctor can treat my fasciotomy issues. I am hoping in Jessica's and any others cases they do not have to do the EMG test, from what ive seen its equal to dipping yor toes in water and hooking a car battery up to your nipples. But i also would not want to miss being rated on something that prevents me from living a normal life.

They didn't order an EMG or anything for me. Just asked me to describe the symptoms. Which is fine with me give the "toes in water and car battery to your nipples" description above. That certainly doesn't sound pleasant. Anyways, I believe my case got sent up today, so we'll see how long this takes. I was told to expect 120 days if found unfit. Anyone know anymore info on the timeline from this point?

My case took 7 days to get unfit from PEB, then less than 5 days after that I had my VA rating.
Wow. That's amazing. Which VA office did you go through, and how many conditions did you have?

I haven't received my ratings as of yet, but the VA said my ratings are done. Did your ratings come out favorably, or were you dissapointed? I'm just freaking out that my ratings aren't going to be good because it was done so quickly.

Mine came out exactly what my ROM and VASRD standards state, so don't worry about the speed it takes the VA to rate you. I too was worried that I would get a poor rating because they took only a couple days to complete my rating. I'm going to appeal the MH rating, but i think that is the norm to low ball us on.
