Over the past few months, there have been some major changes at the Court of Federal Claims.

First, the Chief Judge, the Honorable Emily Hewitt retired. She was replaced as Chief Judge by a new nominee and addition to the Court- the Honorable Chief Judge Patricia Campbell-Smith.

Additionally, another judge was recently appointed to the Court- the Honorable Elaine D. Kaplan:

Finally, Judge Christine O.C. Miller also recently retired from the bench after serving for more than 30 years as a judge in the Court of Federal Claims.

I will post separately about the impact of these changes. As an initial point, there was a recent decision from Chief Judge Campbell-Smith that I think bodes well from military disability claimants.
