Hello,
I am 57 with copd and bad knees. I recieved a letter saying I was approved and a time that they would call. The day i was supposed to get the call i got a call cancelling telling me my case was picked up by quality control. My question is I am not sure what this means and long could it take. Is it normal to get an approval letter and then this happen.

Yes, the quality control picks random cases that were approved to ensure they are correct, sometimes they overturn the decision but its rare.
 
QC is a normal process within the SSA. Most cases remain unchanged. Best wishes. Mike
