I'm reaching out to see if anyone could help me on a tricky subject on a dual process MEB. A yr ago i was arrested for DUI, and still awaiting blood results. I still haven't been charged with a DUI because the blood results haven't came back to say what my BAC level was. However, my command took that information and i was given a letter of reprimand, I'm reaching out to see how do i go about this situation. I just completed my MEB portion "concurred with the findings from my NARSUM'S " but my peblo cant move it forward to the PEB until the CG makes the determination. The issue I'm having is my unit is withholding my MEB packet and wont send it to the CG for determination until my blood results come back, this seems a little shady to me because i will have to go to a civilian court regardless if I'm in uniform or not and wanted advise on how to get my MEB packet submitted up the chain. My unit is literally withholding this to punish me is what it seems like. However, I'm getting out anyway so withholding the med board is worsening my mental health conditions because being in the service is what's triggering everything. Thanks for everything i don't know if i posted this in the right forum, i just feel helpless at this point. A little background information been in the Army 11 years only one incident within my whole career and fell in a deep depression which led me to make a mistake. I'm human and i defiantly learned from this experience but i don't think all the good I've done should stop something so important. I totally understand if I'm asking to get promoted or continue service, i just want to separate with my benefits because i will qualify for a medical retirement.
