I see on the timelines that the VA medical appointments seem to go fast. That is surprising given all of our experience with the Army and the VA medical system. Question: does one doctor knock out a bunch of exams? For instance, if I have a back, foot, and hand problem do I need to go to three different specialists? What about sleep apnea, do you need a sleep study? It just seems that after a long time in the Army that there would be a lot of appointments. I was just referred to a MEB last week, so I don't have much info yet. Active Duty (AGR).
The other thing I notice on timelines is that the VA kicks it back sometimes. I was referred for Chrohns, but also have a back injury, and PTSD. Do I try to get those as permanent profiles now, or do I ask at the VA appointments to get those added to the MEB? I realize they will be added to the overall VA claim, but they are disqualifying conditions, almost worse than what I was referred to the MEB for. Thanks.
