NARSUM, CIS complete - 19 Jul 24 (originally signed CIS 18 Mar 24 then had multiple form expiration issues and am not sure what caused them, and a change of command so this ended up getting really delayed)

I was honestly surprised they were uploaded on a Saturday. And also at the number of DBQs that were completed- I hadn’t realized it would be that many, and it makes sense now why it took a while for VES to QA them all.

Reached out to my MSC because it’d been over a month since my DBQs were uploaded to TOL, and he said he had submitted them to the PEBLO office on 18 Sep 24. My original PEBLO retired at the end of July and a new one was very recently hired and has been waiting on accesses.

I'm also at VSFB and I completed all my exams at the end of august. I can't get updates from the peblo because they don't have access to the ides system. So I've been calling the VA directly and they keep saying I'm in the decision phase. Does this mean my decision to see if I'm fit for duty or is this my VA rating decision?

I’m about to message you directly because our situation is pretty unique and I have a lot to say about it and not sure I want it on here for potentially identifying reasons.

So unfortunately the PEBLO is no longer notified right away if you are found fit or unfit, if you are sent for ratings its the safe way to assume you have been found unfit. The DOD only sends you for ratings if you are found UNFIT, which makes sense because if you are fit there would be no need for you to receive a proposed rating.

If I haven’t been asked to sign a 618, is it safe to assume I’m still in the MEB stage waiting on local board review? Our PEBLO is new and still doesn’t have access to the IDES system- the last update I have is that the VA MSC sent the PEBLO office all my DBQs on 18 Sep and I haven’t been contacted by the PEBLO office about them yet.

So if you haven't signed your 618 then its safe to assume you haven't been submitted to the PEB yet.

Just saw this in myFSS so that’s disheartening… pretty sure my PEBLO is not going to know how to make these corrections.

In myFSS, on the main page, there is a random section in the middle that says Cases and my Open Cases was empty, but when I selected Closed Cases, I saw this one. On the closed case it showed the screenshot I took on a correspondence tab (sorry I don’t remember the exact name for it, I accessed myFSS from my work computer), then the last tab was for documents/files that were uploaded to the case, and it contained one file that was my whole case packet including checklist (did you know there’s a section for expedite memorandum? I didn’t know you could write a memo requesting to expedite your case, but had I known, I would have included one since I’ve got a pending job offer I’m scared of losing…), and one file that had all my DBQs

Edited to add: for what it’s worth, the timestamps on that case were that it was opened Tuesday afternoon, closed Wednesday morning, then I got the myFSS email this (Thursday) morning… so I wonder if it only shows cases that are returned for correction, and if the email notification is sent once it’s correct and forwarded to the iPEB? Maybe those cases stay hidden until completely closed out?

Thank you, I’ll check this out once I get to my unit. I wonder if there could be a tracker system in place with the open cases. But I’ll update what I see there on here if I see anything.

I just looked at mine and i have 2 that are closed right now. one says C&P exams were missing. and the other is “MEB case is missing- only C&P exams were submitted-no bookmark for unfitting condition(s) C&P exams” sounds like a mess.

That does sound like a mess.. out of curiosity were both dated before your myFSS email? I’m hoping the email is a sign my case was finally accepted and the “good” cases stay hidden and open until the final email right before orders.
