Help with formal board after denied written appeal

I need help and information regarding the formal board. I was found fit for duty for a mental/anxiety/insomnia condition (that they refuse to list as PTSD). My off post doctor says it's PTSD, yes I included those notes in my written appeal. My written appeal was denied (I do not know the reasons why yet because I have not gone to my PEBLO to sign my paperwork). I have now been scheduled for my formal board in February and I need advice in what to do to be found unfit for my mental health condition. I have been on a profile for over 140 days stating I cannot carry a weapon, I have to have at minimum 2 consecutive days off every week. I have to have at least 8 hours off consecutively for sleep. It states I'm non deployable, can't perform funeral details or do anything that involves a weapon. I am an MP and having a weapon in part of my job. As a soldier having a weapon is part of my job. How can I be found fit if it has been such a significant amount of time, I've been on multiple anti depressants, multiple sleep medications, and multiple benzodiazepines. This causes me to make mistakes at work, to slur my speech, and to have issues with mood and being able to tolerate people.

I guess my questions is what can I do to prepare myself for the formal board so that they can finally see this is not a temporary issue that it is serious and it meets the unfit requirements based off the regs?

Can anyone please help?! Thank you! If it helps I'm Army. I was already found unfit for one condition (10%).

Welcome to the PEB Forum! :)

Upon the assignment of a FPEB attorney, you need to immediately explain your total situation so that an initial strategy can be developed in support of your DoD IDES case file. Also, you need to know exactly why the PEB denied your appeal to be found unfit for duty for a mental/anxiety/insomnia medical condition. Hmm, did your Commander's assessment mention anything about your mental/anxiety/insomnia medical condition's effect on your performance of assigned military duties? Take care!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer!"

Best Wishes!

I would gladly switch you places. They found me unfit, beside my strong preference to stay in.
