Is 10 years 6 months your active duty equivalent?
See retirement orders and “Disability Retirement” on first page 3/4 down for AD equivalent.

Posted my orders below
Per orders, 10 years 9 months active duty equivalent.

1. 10.75 x 2.5% = 26.88% longevity multiplier
2. 2194gross / 60% = 3656.67 high three
3. 3656.67 x 26.88% = 982.91 longevity portion of retired pay
4. Your CRSC will be 982.91 Unless the approved CRSC percentage equates to less than that. The VA comp tables are used for that percentage.

Would my CRSC be 80% based off the all the conditions I posted ?

By law, CRSC for a disability retiree with less than 20 years AD or equivalent is the LESSER (lower amount) of the longevity computation OR the amount found in the VA comp tables for the approved CRSC percentage.

3656.67 x 26.88% = 982.91 longevity portion of retired pay which is less than 80% in the tables (by far). See the VA compensation tables. 2023 Veterans disability compensation rates | Veterans Affairs <—-LINK

Sorry, I cannot predict what percentage one will get from a CRSC board.

I’m confused so I can’t get no more then 982?
CRSC can never be more than the longevity portion of retired pay. Your longevity based on the info you provided is 982.91

I am a regular retiree and have 100% CRSC. My CRSC is precisely the amount of my longevity.

CRSC does not replace offset retired pay that exceeds the longevity.

Special Rules for Chapter 61 Disability Retirees: According to law, members retired for disability under Chapter 61 of title 10 United States Code must have the CRSC entitlement limited to an amount that when combined with any military retired pay remaining after offset for VA disability compensation will not exceed the retired pay they would otherwise be entitled to for retirement computed for years of service (i.e., 2 1/2 percent x active duty or active duty equivalent years of service x high three average base pay). Note: 2 percent is used for those enrolled in the Blended Retirement Program.

Ron so 80% my projected percentage would be 80% of 982 how does CRSC match VA pay charts than two include dependents mind boggling so confusing out here on CRSC

If you had 80% CRSC approved and you were single, you would use the VA comp tables to find the 80% rate for veteran alone and that would be the CRSC amount. However, if the longevity amount is a lower amount, it would be the CRSC payable. If you have dependents, use the line that fits. Have you looked at the VA Tables?

$982 is the amount you will receive as CRSC based on the info you provided.

This is not a new procedure.

Hello @marlonmc26

@Bobby929 will receive $982 as CRSC based on the info he provided. The maximum CRSC is the longevity portion of retired pay for CH 61 retirees with less than 20 years active duty equivalent, regardless of the number of dependents one has.

The VA comp tables would be used in his case ONLY if his longevity was higher than the amount in the VA comp tables.
In that case he would receive the lower amount in the tables.

Based on your own info, you too will face the same limitations.
