I have my timeline in the IPEB Overview section of this website, but it is kind of broken up. So I figured I would show the majority of my timeline in a single post here.

My current timeline is

Late March: IRILO/Code 37 Approved
April 25: Code 37 Flipped (they forgot?) and MH NARSUM complete
April 29: Physical NARSUM and CIS(do not retain) complete.
May 2: Submitted to AFPC.
April 25: Code 37 flipped (they forgot to flip it)
April 25: MH NARSUM complete
April 29: Physical health NARSUM complete
April 29: CIS(do not retain)
May 2: Package sent to AFPC
June 7: AFPC Determination (Full MEB)
June 8: PEBLO Brief/ VA MSC contacted me
June 9: Claims made with VA MSC/eBenefits updated claim to evidence gathering
June 29: First C&P Exam
July 16: Second C&P Exam
July 28: Final C&P Exam.
August 7: QTC exams uploaded to Tricare and marked complete
August 8: PEBLO contact/Signed 618 (unfit)
August 8: PEBLO sent package to PEB

Case feels like it is moving fast. I got really fortunate with how quickly QTC exams were uploaded to actually signing my 618 and sending it off.
PEBLO said there is a bit of a backlog right now so I should hear from PEB with ratings in 15-30 days.

Update

VA website updated to

Your claim decision is ready

We finished reviewing your claim on Sept. 14, 2022.

Waiting for word from the PEBLO
If you don’t mind me asking, how many claims did you file for? Your case seems like it moved really fast through the process!

I'm curious as well. I had 29 claims and my case file was little over 300 pages. Been over 2 months since I've signed my 618.
I had 5 or 6 claims, 2 of them were DQing conditions. Received myFSS email yesterday stating my PEBLO had all documents and will reach out in 48 hours, so if I agree with the ratings it looks like I'm done with the process. VA proposed rating was 80% waiting on DoD

Update:

Disqualifying Conditions rated
: Chronic lower and thoracic back pain/strain (Had 2 bulging discs and some compression)
Chronic Adjustment Disorder with mixed anxiety and depressed mood
60% DoD / 80% VA PDRL

Sep 19:
1180 signed and returned.

Awaiting retirement orders.

Honestly surprised I went straight to PDRL but I am super thankful for that.

Currently out processing now, Its a bit more than usual for a retirement. A little stressful mostly because my CSS didnt give me any information just handed me the papers and said good luck
Just signed my 1180 yesterday. I have 60 days of leave and 20 days of PTDY. I wonder when my regiment date will be.

Were all of the disqualifying conditions the ones that you were being med boarded for? or did they add additional ones from your VA claim?

I had a quick question. So I’ve heard this from quite a few people, (my PEBLO included), but if you are under 20 yrs of service, and you are permanently medically retired with 100% va rating, and a dod rating above 50%, are you eligible to receive payments from both the DOD & VA after you separate? My ratings are 60% DOD/ 100% P&T VA. I’ve been told I will receive payments from the VA & DOD, but I wasn’t 100% sure about this.

if you don't have 20 years of service any VA compensation will offset your Chapter 61 medical retirement pension. Most don't receive their medical pension as their VA compensation offsets all of it. Crappy I know since they are 2 seperate pots of money but that is the law. You need to hit 20 years or 15 for TERA + 50% or higher VAl ratings to get CRDP.

In your personal opinion do you ever forsee a possibility of that law changing? To your knowledge has their ever been attempts to change it?

I had another question. At what point after you receive your ratings and then start outprocessing do you get to elect whether you want to take the DOD disability pay or elect to take the VA disability pay? I’m trying to elect to take the VA disability pay but I’m not sure if it’s something that’s decided before or after I separate.

You can apply for combat related special compensation if your disabilities came from “Combat Related” activities.
