Medically Retired at 13.5 years looking to apply for CRSC.

Hey everyone, As mentioned in the title I was medically retired after 13.5 years in the Air Force. My job was heavy construction. I deployed twice; however, not anywhere with combat. 2013-2014 I was deployed to the Deid and we received hostile fire and hazard duty pay. Yes, laugh and say what...

    Estimate Received (IDES)

I accepted the results. 50% DoD and 90% proposed VA. I’ve got things annotated by back and hand specialists. And new findings diagnosed like the ruptured discs in my neck, shoulder impingement syndrome, new RoMs. I have all records as well. Last active duty day is 23May. The following Monday I’m...

    Pay Questions after Retirement.

if I have the DD-214 completed now, can I just submit it before leaving active duty or do you mean “ASAP” as soon as I’m out?

    Pay Questions after Retirement.

Last active duty day is 23 May. I’m 50% DoD and 90% proposed VA. I’ve reached out to my local finance office, called DFAS, nobody has answers. Looked on this forum and I see that I’ll probably get the VA payments…end of July. Last active duty check somewhere between 2-4 weeks after final...

    VARR question

I went ahead and accepted the retirement. I’ve done nothing but see specialists the last few months to ensure everything I claimed that the VA did not rate, has a diagnosis, imaging, etc. Even though I already had all that in my records, I now have it updated and in some cases I have more things...

    VARR question

I got 10% rad for each leg. 40 for spondylosis. And I got 50% DoD. The 40 included degenerative disc disease, vergebenic pain syndrome, S1, L4, and L5 discs rupture/prolapse. It’s a toss up for back issues. The VA took my C&P examiner word for word and didn’t even rate my back. It was the DoD...

    VARR question

Less than 30. Paid my physical therapy doc to do a proper ROM since the C&P examiner didn’t. My PT doc went off the VA ROM verbatim for lumbar and cervical. Tested 3xs for each movement. *I paid my PT doc because I no longer had an active referral. I did not pay them to fudge numbers in my favor.

Timeline for MEB Patrick SFB (back injury)

I had 29 claims. The C&P examiner wrote that that I did not have any diagnoses, imaging to support, and none of it was service connected. I also learned that the VA only got up to 2018 of my health records. They also requested that in order to get my unfitting condition rated, I would need to...

Timeline for MEB Patrick SFB (back injury)

So I finally got to the “finish line” after a year of being in this process. Final day active is 23May. 50%DoD 90% proposed VA. The VA did not rate my MEB condition at first. They went off the word salads in my DBQs. There were several things they did not rate. Long story short, my C&P examiner...

    VARR question

Hey everyone, Got my results back. 50%DoD and 90% VA. Referred condition was lumbar spondylosis. I got 40% for main back issue and 10% each leg for radiculopathy. My ODC lawyer mentioned I could try to get 40% each leg if I get a letter confirming severity by my neurosurgeon. Has anyone...

    Estimate Received (IDES)

Yeah I believe records were not sent. I’m active duty (13yrs) and the only record the VA referred to was from Nov/2018 stating I had low back pain and stated that was not enough to make a determination for a rating. I’m getting boarded because I have blown discs, ddd, bilateral leg, etc etc...

    Estimate Received (IDES)

Asking a question that is in the realm of my last. Does anyone have experience with the VA not rating a condition that you are getting MEB’d for due to lack of records? Note: I have all my records, VA claims they could only find one time in career and no diagnoses was found. Condition is lumbar...

    Estimate Received (IDES)

I know it’s just an estimate and I still have to wait for the Air Force to make their decision; however, how easy or difficult is it to appeal and try to get 100% when you’re already at a 90? I’ve read that it’s easy and usually the person gets the 100 but I’ve also read it can be difficult...

    Fit or Unfit

Update: I called the VA 1000 number and the claim that closed on my app was the request I made for records the VA received for my MEB. My medical contingencies for the MEB is still in the decision phase. I suppose this explains why the letter pertaining to a records request stated I had no...
