    MEB As a Traditional Reservist

Hello, I am currently an Air Force Reservist. I’ve been on MEDCON orders since Oct 2020 for a third ACL surgery. I’m currently going to physical therapy but it’s been over a year since post-surgery (Feb 2020 was the last surgery) and don’t foresee myself being able to continue doing the run...

    MEDCON/Incap Pay

As I mentioned, I did start the LOD process with my medical POC (still haven’t heard back). As far as the MEDCON orders goes, does my unit initiate that now? Or would I need to wait for the LOD to go through? Does my Chain of Command need to initiate this with my medical POC? Again, thank you...

    MEDCON/Incap Pay

Ahh I see, this has definitely helped and provided a lot of insight on my situation. I thought they would only be able to do 30 day orders at a time and re-access after. Do I receive normal AD pay while on MEDCON orders as well? What’s the main differences from just a regular set of MPA orders...

    MEDCON/Incap Pay

Does this go for any civilian position? Let it be the public or private sector? Not necessarily DOD.

    MEDCON/Incap Pay

Thank you so much for the information, I will ensure my CoC is aware. With that being said, would they just keep placing me on MEDCON orders until I complete my rehab? In the event I am still unable to complete all components of the fitness test, am I able to opt for an MEB?

    MEDCON/Incap Pay

I submitted the documents for the LOD a few weeks back but still awaiting determination. My medical POC isn’t too good with replying to emails or calls for my follow-up questions.

    MEDCON/Incap Pay

Yes I was injured during my orders. I was under the impression that I am unable to be released until I finish rehab or until my surgeon clears me to be able to PT test. I started the LOD process and submitted documents to my local med unit. I am afraid the medcon orders process will take awhile...

    MEDCON/Incap Pay

Hello, I am a Air Force Trad Reservist on MPA orders until 30 Sep 20. Had to get surgery back in February for a re-torn ACL. My surgeon said my rehab can be 9-12 months, which I would then surpass my orders date. I submitted a LOD to see if I can receive INCAP pay. Would I stay on orders or...

    ACL MEB?

If a member is deemed unfit to deploy due to multiple ACL surgeries, is this means to possibly go up for an MEB?

3rd ACL surgery - Possible MEB??

I see, makes sense. So being on MPA orders that go up Oct 2020 and therapy going past that, would I need to get on MEDCON orders until my condition gets better? And if I’m not able to do a PT test (walk or run) or be deployable even after my physical therapy, would they then ping me for an MEB?

3rd ACL surgery - Possible MEB??

Thank you for the quick response. So at this point, I would rather just go through an MEB if possible. My other leg is compensating and is also starting to give out. However would you happen to know that process? Would I have to fully go through and complete physical therapy or am I able to let...

3rd ACL surgery - Possible MEB??

I’m an Air Force Reservist on Active Duty MPA orders. I’m hoping someone here knows the process a little more or can shed some light on the situation. I re-tore my ACL during a PT test while on AD orders. The surgeon did a two-part surgery; first surgery back in August 2019 to remove my first...
