Congrats on getting everything finished and on your Retirement. You will get your NLT date once you hit TRANSPROC and can adjust you final day from there (you just can't stay any long without more paperwork and approval)
1: You can start your leave whenever you want to. I received my NLT on...
Ahh man... sorry to hear it is taking so long. It will be worth it in the long run for sure though. Just keep your head up and look towards the finish line.
I signed my 199 last week I think like Thursday and I did my exit interview with the VA MSC last Friday and today the SFAC sent me an email saying I hit Transproc with my NLT date and all the paperwork I needed to complete in order to get my retirement orders. They told me it would take 3-5 days...
1) will my unfit/fit for duty be affected by the fact that I am an infantryman who is currently recruiting(not by choice).
No, doesn't matter what MOS you are..... Your medical conditions that you are being referred to the MEB decide what you are fit or unfit for.

From what I had been seeing it was a hit or miss depending on your PEBLO and all that jazz. I have attached the memo most people use for you, if you decide to go that route.
All I know is that I can't hit trans soon the heck enough haha. I am so ready to get out of Hood and move on with my life. This has been a rough two years and I am just ready to close this chapter since it really feels like I threw away 14 years for nothing, regardless of the ratings.
Just a little input. I don't believe it quite matters what base you are at from my understanding. Most of us that I have been talking to these last few months, we all waited anywhere between 75 and 100 days in the entire IPEB stage. Some guys submitted expedited memos and some didn't and it may...
