I have been on TDRL since Oct2022 with DOD 80 and VA P&T 100%. I received a DD214 that shows 21 years and change of service. At the 1 year mark my PTSD was ranked up to 100% and my VA P&T moved to SMC S based on one rating of 100% and a combination of over 60% on the rest of my ratings. Today I...
@Provis why does getting a job or going to school cause issues with ratings. If someone is the primary breadwinner in there house wouldn't it be more of an issue if they were losing money from suddenly being out of service. I know in my case I am being put on TDRL due to mental health and was...

@SXAG @PERS-95 @RonG and @Provis So interestingly I was just about to post basically this same issue as I got my TDRL message today and my YNCS (E8 personnel Chief for the non-Navy types) told me today that I need to talk to my PEBLO, Enlisted Community Manager(responsible for retirement...
@essexr which is code 13 as I got 70% for PTSD as well but they claimed that it was not combat related since I had issues in my past even though I had 15 years in the military before with no issues or counseling and then an event that forced me into counseling.
@SDV_PILOT They basically decided because I was in foster care most of my life that was the start of my PTSD even though I had completed almost 15 years and 2 other deployments with no issues before the incident that prompted it. Kinda messed up if you ask me.
@RonG Yes I apologize was just going off of memory and didn't go back to read the response that you sent previously but I had looked after I posted I should have clarified that. Based on the info though is it worth me asking for a formal board to try and get the combat portion fixed or is it...
Got the package from PEBLO today and I had a few questions that I assumed you guys could probably help with.
They have me listed as 80% DoD with both my hips at 10% stable a piece and my PTSD listed as unstable at 70% putting me on the TDRL. With that my understanding is that they will need to...
@RonG @Provis Thanks guys I guess I wasnt clear on that question my time is all active time. I am being med retired for PTSD from combat and also from hip surgeries.
I am trying to determine how to budget after the navy and what sort of job I have to get and was wondering if someone could help me out. Basically trying to figure out what will and wont get taxed as well as what money I will have in my pocket each month.
