Thanks for the reply. My high 36 months was calculated at some point during out processing which is how I came up with that number. For reference I was enlisted for most of that time. For the last bit of my active time I was a 1LT then got promoted a few months prior to getting out.
14.5 AD Army. Medically retired at 80% DOD 100% VA. Last day in service was may 21st 2025.
75% of my base pay is like 5700. My understanding was I'll get roughly $4400 from VA then $1300 from DFAS. I have a few questions.
1. Is my understanding correct?
2. When should I get my first checks...
Ok let's make sure I have this right. I will get the 100% VA pay and automatically get the remainder from excess portion from the dod % and only pay taxes on the difference?
Also what form is that you are referring to so i can look at block 26.
Army 14 TIS AD.
80% Dod
100% VA
BLUF currently O3E 14 years, last 2 years a O2E, some time as an E7. By my math 75% of my average 36 months would be higher than my VA amount.
My understanding is VA will cover the 100% and the excess will be paid from the dod/dfas whatever you want to call it...
I was told the memo puts you in the front of the line at the IPEB but still mixed answers on if it expedites the ratings or not. According to Vera my claim is assigned to an examiner at the VA already which should mean I have already been found unfit.
Have you had an appt with VERA number? I had one on Thursday and they said my case is assigned to an examiner which some have said means the IPEB has already made the unfit determination.
I have read multiple times there is no longer a fit/unfit decision notifications sent to PEBLO until ratings come back. Is that something they actually have access too prior to ratings and I just have to convince my PEBLO tell me?
I am Army if that changes anything.
I have a VERA appt today. I was told my claim was assigned to a examiner. Does that mean IPEB found me unfit?
Also they said I had 1 claim. Do the just lump all my claims into 1 for IDES? I have 4 VA appts and 32 claimed conditions including 4 disqualifying. TIA
14 years AD Army
NARSUM has 4 separate DQ conditions
Wildcard is I am a Physician Assistant and dont know if PEB will find me unfit but retain me because of that.
-Referred for MEB: late Oct 2024
-MEB Brief 14Nov 2024 (due to already scheduled leave)
-VA appts completed 8 Jan 2025 (tbi/neuro...
I keep seeing others refer to getting updates from their MSC. Can someone explain what this is, what info they could potentially provide.
BLUF- I submitted a signed job offer to expedite my case but my peblo has spotty response times at best. Between the job offer and trying to make the closing...
Thank you. I do have a couple other questions. 1. Does denying treatment have any affect on your rating? Specifically surgeries/procedures? 2. If an MEB is submitted for 1 condition can there be additional service disqualifying conditions added in the process? For example my DDD with radicular...
