22 Sep 25 - FL4 received - Full MEB directed
23 Sep 25 - Had DES Brief from PEBLO and sent SHA in
9 Oct 25 - PEBLO never sent in SHA and then got furloughed. I happened to be at medical and saw a note on his door with contact info for fill-in PEBLO. Reached out to them and they sent my SHA in same day.
16 Oct 25 - Checked in with fill in PEBLO and was told I should hear from MSC hopefully by end of next week.
22 Oct 25 - Initial contact with MSC
23 Oct 25 - Phone Appointment with MSC (Gave me an estimated timeline of meb being completed and me separated 7-12 months from today)
24 Oct 25 - Turned in 21-526EZ and 21-686c to MSC
6 Nov, 12 Nov, 13 Nov, 17 Nov, 19 Nov, 24 Nov and 5 Dec - VA appointments w/ Optum serve
11 Dec 25 - MSC releases info to PEBLO
15 Dec 25 - PEBLO sends me DBQs in email with expectation of 3-4 weeks before case is ready to sign and go to ipeb
23 Dec 25 - VA customer service rep told me case has been closed with rating, wouldn't tell me what the rating was
30 Dec 25 - PEBLO verbally gave me my proposed rating. Still waiting for case to be ready to sign and go to ipeb
2 Jan 26 - Case shows closed on va.gov with date of 2 Jan 26 (despite va rep saying it closed on the 23rd of Dec)
15 Jan 26 - Signed papers w/ PEBLO and case sent to ipeb. Given estimate of 1-2 weeks for it to come back (faster than usual due to VA % being completed already)
4 Feb 26 - 2nd My FSS email, PEBLO called me in to sign forms. 40% DOD / 100% VA P&T. I have 30 days of leave and my CC approved 0 days of permissive (not sure why) Now waiting impatiently for orders!
11 Feb 26 - Still waiting on retirement date/orders. PEBLO says be patient (not in my nature. I’m so ready to be done with all this) Called Total Force Service center and they opened a case to try and get things moving
12 Feb 26 - Got DOS of 7 April and an email orders were uploaded to prda. Few hours later they were there.
3 Mar 26 - Final Out-Processing apt with MPF
4 Mar 26 - Terminal leave starts.

Holy shit. This was such a wild ride. The immense relief I’m feeling right now is crazy compared to the crippling anxiety during the last year. Thank you to everyone I’ve encountered on this forum! I wouldn’t have been able to hang onto that last shred of sanity without you all.
how many terminal leave days did you have and how many PTDY did your commander authorize. I'm trying to figure out what the timelines are that they give between orders in hand and out the door.

After working it out with finance I had 35 days of leave and my cc approved 0 days of permissive (not sure why, I’ve never done anything wrong and I confirmed she knew she could give me up to 20 and still gave none)

On the forms I signed with my Peblo when I accepted the PEB decision I estimated 30 days of leave and I think that’s what drove my ret date of apr 7 if that helps.

So you had to get your original orders amended? Or did you talk with finance and get your leave days worked out prior to your orders? I know there is a form we have to write our number of leaves days on and sign, but I wasn't sure if AFPC makes the adjustment or you have to fix it yourself. Did you also work with finance to discuss how you plan to use your final move, as in driving from base to home of record? About to go through all this in the next week or month-ish. Sorry for all the questions.

No worries! It’s a lot.

My orders never needed to be amended. I got them with the dos of 7 April. Then I went to finance and they do a worksheet that calculates how many days of leave you have now, and will earn before your dos, so you know how many days of terminal you can take. I didn’t have permissive so that wasn’t a factor for me, but I’m sure they would have added that to the calculations too. The math decides when you can start terminal. Then I put in leaveweb the dates and my cc approved.

I worked all the moving stuff out with TMO. They answered most of my questions. My bases finance also has a mandatory out brief where they gave me the forms for submitting my travel voucher when we arrive at my home of selection to get reimbursed for par diem and stuff.

Awesome! Thanks for the information. That was very helpful.
