It really did.. I am really grateful -- the VARR they said is going to take 4-8 weeks, so hopefully the luck keeps up.

How did you know that the PEB found you unfit? Did you get that information from your Peblo?

I actually got an automated email from "secnav.navy" and it said "
A findings letter for NDITS Case # IDES-25-##### / VTA Case # #### has been delivered to the PEBLO." So then I immediately called her and she told me the findings + gave me my ratings.

Submitted VARR - 2/17/2026
VARR Response - 3/17/2026

Shook out with 50 DoD and 90 VA. Finally approaching the end of the tunnel!

My PEBLO is sending my findings to PERS next week and then the final steps can start.
 
Writing this update because I didn't find a lot of info on the VARR process. We submitted an updated DBQ from my original surgeon and a personal statement. They came back relatively quickly--JAG was expecting 2-3 months and we got it back from the VA and PEB in one.

MEBAA Original Approval of Referral 10/27/25
PEBLO Initial Contact 10/7/25
IDES Legal brief 11/4/25
First VA Appt 11/17/25
Last VA Appt 11/20/25
VA Received Appts -- 12/1/2025
Exams released - 12/17/2025
NARSUM Signed - 12/22/2025 (meeting with legal first)
PEB Unfit determination - 2/11/2026
Proposed ratings / Signed findings / VARR COMPLETE: 3/17/2026

Now I am just waiting for the EOO to make it through PEB, PERS then orders and done!

I’m on the same step, my EOO was sent yesterday!
