    IDES

I kept track of my most of my dates. But your PEBLO will be able to tell you when he received the documents that go into your package and when he sends it down to AFPC. After that, the dates get fuzzy. But I used eBenefits.va.gov or called the VA.

    March 2011 Packages

I called and talked to the VA, they didn't explain the 'Regulatory or Procedural Review'. But they did say they assigned ratings to each condition and sent it forward to formalize the ratings. This happens to match up with the dates of the Procedural Review.

    IDES

Hey Lola, You are correct, you will not be able to separate until the VA assigns the rating. Also, AFPC will not notify you of being found fit or unfit. If you were found fit, you most likely would have heard back by now. If they found you unfit, your package will be sent straight to the VA...

    IDES

To be honest, the VA rating part confuses the hell out of me. I have heard it is done a lot of different ways. I'm not sure which one I believe anymore. All I know the VA is flippin slow. Here is how my case is outlined: 10-Nov-10 - Coded for MEB 29-Nov-10 - Notified of MEB Proceedings...

    MEB questions

It can go in many different directions. Do you want to stay in or get out? What are your physical duty limitations? Are you world wide qualified? For example, if you are only limited on not running (but able to complete walk test) and you want to stay in, you would have a good chance of...

    March 2011 Packages

Still playing the waiting game. Talked to my PEBLO a while back and all they could say is the VA has it. I went on the VA's eBenefits site and it shows my case still in the decision stage. It has been there for a couple months. The sight also said I had another claim go through 'Regulatory or...

    IDES

Hey Mike, With the IDES system, AFPC will only find you Fit or Unfit. If you are Unfit, you package will be sent directly to the VA. The VA takes a long time with the rating process. I'm still waiting for my rating and it was sent in on 22 March. From what I have been able to tell, the VA...

    April IPEB Packages

If you are in the IDES program, I would sit back and relax. The VA takes a long time. From what I noticed, the VA normally contacts the vet in about 3 months with the rating notification. After that, AFPC will take about a month to get the formal results sent to your PEBLO. However, my PEBLO...

What does Fast Track mean exactly?

There are two different MEB paths: Fast track and Full MEB. The fast track system is used to evaluate someone with a common disqualifying condition but is still able to working normally. This is common for condition such as Asthma. Your package is sent to AFPC directly instead of going to...

    New AF469 - Code 37

I'm just concerned it will fall through the cracks like everything else. I'm stationed at Ft Meade, but all medical goes through Andrews. What makes matters worse, my PCM is deployed. They have one filling in while he is gone, but I don't have a lot of confidence in him.

    New AF469 - Code 37

On Monday, I received an email with my new AF469. It had me coded as 37. I was expecting it and decided not to fight the process. Everyone involved agreed to recommend discharge. The code was started for chronic upper back pain. A little background. I had compression fractures back in high...
