    PDRL Message

Good Afternoon PEB Forum! I have been informed that my case has been sent to PERS, but I'm not at a traditional Navy command and don't have access to OIX. Is anyone in the forum dialed in to OIX and can check if my message came in?

San Diego Navy Case / PEB Timeline

Yeah my EAOS isn't until 2030, so I'm just hoping they factor in all of my leave and PTDY when considering my date.

San Diego Navy Case / PEB Timeline

I have a question. I am told my findings will be released to PERS today. Do you know how it works for determining retirement date? Like do they factor all of your leave and PTDY?

    Medical Retirement Orders

So, I was under the impression that once you get your PDRL message, you udo the separation package and submit that to PERS, along with something that says with the PTDY and Leave date, separation date is adjusted, and the hard copies and DD-214 come later. Is that correct? Or what does that look...

    Advice On Findings from IPEB?

Yes, I did TAP when I originally started the process, because it wasn't supposed to last this long. And as far as working still, yes. I'm at a shore duty joint billet for what it's worth and my command is more than accommodating to any appointments, absences, etc.

    Advice On Findings from IPEB?

Trust me, I am SO ready to retire. I will hit my 16 year mark next month. The relief from just getting that retirement vs severance was worth it alone. Not to mention my child and wife are going to be taken care of with tricare for life as well. Have you done TAP already?

    Advice On Findings from IPEB?

I've been in the IDES system for almost a year now. I understand the fear, and eagerness to just get out and move on. I was going to accept my DoD 10% and VA 90%. Then I realized that the severance, while initially nice, will be deducted from the VA disability until recouped. So I requested a...

    FPEB Navy

That's great! I suggest getting with your assigned FPEB counsel as soon as possible and formulating a game plan. Have a good idea of what you're looking to get out of the FPEB and any goals you have. Also, if you haven't looked into it yet, as a member of the IDES you are eligible for VR&E...

Yeah, I did 2 deployments to Persian Gulf and the condition is covered under the PACT act, I'll have to do some research on the CRSC front.

    FPEB Navy

Understood. Sorry that happened to you. I hope the Richard Star act is passed, even if it won't get me any benefit, as my unfitness didn't come from combat, it was from a carcinoid lung tumor where I had a biopsy that turned into a life saving surgery, and has caused permanent pain and vocal...

    FPEB Navy

A stipulation is essentially a settlement. In my case, the DoD rating came back as 10%, and the VA came back as 90%. My counsel made the argument in my FPEB appeal that some of the additional conditions that I have are unfitting as a residual from the original condition. About 1 hour before the...

    FPEB Navy

That timeline seems about right. When I requested my first one on 4 Aug, they gave me a 28 Aug FPEB date. I ended up having surgery and then the gov shutdown happened, so I actually had my board on 4 Dec. Let me know if you have any questions. Has your counsel told you about stipulations and if...

Virtual IDES Timeline (NAVMEDCEN San Diego)

If you feel like you have additional unfitting conditions, and you have documentation to that end, you should request a formal PEB. You will be appointed a lawyer and the lawyer will be able to represent you. In my case, they were extremely successful and helpful.
