I'm sorry man, I was really hoping you got it. So, I showed up on TRANSPOC's radar today already, after I signed my 199 yesterday. I've already done my leave calculation, have all my necessary documents in order and sent in. My Disability Retirement date is 25 January 2021 with a terminal...

That's what I'm guessing. Weird thing is that my 199 was signed on the 6th by the PEB, yet my PEBLO didn't get it until this morning. That's why the timelines are loose, they may complete it on time, but they take their sweet ass time getting it back to you. My VA ratings were done a while...

The VA ratings I received on the 27th were the ones recommended from the VA. My PEBLO presented me with the same form the VA sent me, as well as my 199, that way I know what both my VA and DoD ratings are. I'm personally happy, because I wanted the retirement, and I'm getting it.

Congrats to you as well. It sounds like you were just being super proactive, so good on you. I'm doing the same thing now, I have my memo to turn in CIF early, so that will happen next week some time. And it's not going to be long until I'm a free man.

Well ladies and gentlemen, I'll be getting my 199 any minute now. Just got the email from my PEBLO saying she just received it. I'll let you know in a bit where I'm at.

Congratulations!! I've been waiting on my DA 199 for 17 days now, and my PEBLO just told me 3 minutes ago it's still pending.

Sorry for the late reply. I feel that the entire package is what made WGU so valuable to me. Some people have 1 or 2 out of the 3 items (experience, certs and degree), but I have all 3 which has made me very marketable. If one were to focus on one as opposed to the other, I would suggest the...

I absolutely do. The course material of course is directly built for the purposes of preparing you for the certification exams, because completion of the course requires acquisition of the certification. In addition to the standard certification courses, there are performance assessments as...

My apologies, I understood CS to be Cyber Security and not Computer Science. I went through WGU for my Bachelor's in Network Ops and Security and started my Master's through WGU the month after I graduated.

Private sector. I actually landed a job as a Senior Network Admin for a community college close to home. The position pays well and falls under teacher's salary rules. I will get 3 weeks off in the summer, 2 weeks off during Christmas, and all other Holidays off as well. My wife and kids can go...

I majored in Network Operations and Security for my Bachelor's Degree, ended up with A+, Net+, Sec+, Project+, ITIL Foundations, CCNA, CCDA, Linux Essentials and Cloud Essentials. My Master's is in CS, and I'll end up with CEH once I'm done with it. And yeah, they're on their own damn time. I'm...

Nothing yet on my end. I spoke to my PEBLO yesterday, she said she was conducting a site visit and she would utilize those resources to secure my 199. Of course, today, she is out of the office so I won't hear anything earlier than tomorrow. I'm still pretty confident that I'll be out of the...

That's fair. I don't currently have an official VA award letter, due to the fact that I am still in the process. I'm almost 100% certain that the injury will be service connected, considering it happened during an active duty airborne exercise. It's been annotated in my medical records. So I...

    Second Claim opened

I can't speculate as to everyone's situation, but I know that a second claim was opened and closed on the same day my information was sent to my PEBLO. That second claim opening and closing was my ratings being sent to my service branch, which I received 10 days later. I know I was found unfit...

Also, concerning CRSC. In December of 2009, I broke my right ankle in 12 places, had screws and plates installed, and had 3 subsequent surgeries from the injury, which occurred on an Airborne Jump. That specific injury falls under the criteria of Hazardous Duty and should qualify me for CRSC...

Ron, That's what I thought. Now, let's say that I am given 70% DoD disability, and that is taken from the high 3 for me. That amount would be $2,709 monthly, and I have been rated by the VA for 90% which is $2,209 monthly. Upon election, I have the option to choose either one, based on which...
