The VA can recoup only the amount of what the disability that caused your separation. If you were separated with a knee condition and the VA rates it at 20% and you have other none separation disabilities that total you at 70%...then the VA can only recoup at the 20% rate. Its also recouped...

If I were you I would go to sick call everyday and complain about everything that hurts.......get your back checked out...my back went out on me after I got out...wished I would have had a record of that now...also you need to go to behaviroal health and talk with a counselor.....you really dont...

I will tell you that I was boarded out because of a knee injury and found at 0%....but the VA found me to be 70% with other conditions.....They have not recuped anything from me.....only difference is that the VA said 0% on my knee as well....I have just not pursued the issue because I beleive...
