I was just diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, and I dont know whats next.

I received both my DoD rating and VA rating during my Med Board. For those conditions that caused the Med Board, the military will mirror the VA’s decision, if one selects IDES.

USAF MacDill AFB MEB Timeline (Abdominal Disorders Unspecified)

Tell them you’re in the transition of moving due to transitioning out and that you don’t have a P.O. Mail Box currently set-up. The right operator will send the Va rating letter via email.

I was just diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, and I dont know whats next.

IDES will be a lengthier process vs LDES but prior to separating from service you’ll complete your DoD and VA ratings which offers more protections vs LDES and DoD will mirror your VA rating(s) for your MEB’d condition(s) as well as rate any/all conditions you claim outside of the MEB’d...

I was just diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, and I dont know whats next.

No problem. I was rated 60% for Crohn’s by the VA and DoD mirrored the VA rating for rating purposes, and the MEB took 5-6 months to completion. If you are med boarded chose IDES, not LDES.

I was just diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, and I dont know whats next.

I was medically retired due to Crohn’s disease in 2022, which is in the same realm as UC and being placed on immune suppressants. It varies by case, so I don’t have a direct answer but if placed on immune suppressants to control the disease then you’ll have a 0%-5% chance of continuing your...

What is the average timeline from TDRL eval to IPEB decision? (Air Force)

I just went through the TDRL eval last week. They used my VA rating since my eval was less than 16 months (12 months exact). I got my PDRL results via MyFSS a day later.

TDRL Review Case - Email Notification

Today, I logged into MyFSS, created a non-CAC login and within my TDRL open case file I found updated/signed official documentation (AF Form 356, IPEB) that was actually signed today that I’m now “TDRL to Permanent Retirement” with no changes of the rating of my TDRL Condition. They used my most...

Any word on results? Was your TDRL exam 6 months after separation? Did you work while on TDRL? If so, was it asked during your re-examination & how did you respond to the question (if asked), if you worked?

VA Opened a New Claim on my file

UPDATE (Disregard Last Message): I was told this is for internal VBA chatter. It has nothing to do with the granted rating from the VA. It’s just the VA closing the 100% P&T rating in the system. That’s all.

VA Opened a New Claim on my file

So, I contacted the VA this morning via 1-800 number. I was told it’s only for PTSD, to see if I need a RFE or not. I’m still confused on “why” if they already sent me my official decision letter after retiring from the military and submitting my DD214, but I guess the VA can do anything they...
