I am not surprised at all. What was the reasoning/response in their denial? Lack of causal relationship? Lack of a nexus event? Lack of objective evidence ("patient states X")?

All of my conditions have been flat out denied for CRSC, and that's about the extent of consideration afforded so far. I do need to submit the CAB for reconsideration on MH conditions as it was not part of my Air Force records at the time of my first CRSC application.

Did another read through the current text, and it's a bit alarming to see the definition of combat-related references the CRSC criteria (and we know how that determination by each branch can vary). I'd have thought they might go by the retirement order for the combat-related characterization.

It's also good to make sure they use the correct questionnaire sheets. My PTSD eval for C&P was done on the general mental health disability benefits questionnaire, not the PTSD-specific one. There's a reason for, and important sets of questions on, the specific DBQs vs the generalized ones...

Saw your notes about the CAB in another thread- I just had mine retroactively awarded and will be sending it in for reconsideration. It'll be amusing if the end result is the BCMR calling physical conditions combat-related, while CRSC determines (fitting) mental conditions are combat-related.
