I finally got my orders and here's my timeline as follows. I don't remember most of the exact dates in the beginning because my MEB was initiated more then a a year ago. I hope this helps anyone else who is dealing with an asthma MEB.
April 2011: Diagnosed with uncontrolled asthma after being hospitalized twice for not being able to breath. I was put on Advair 50/500, Prednisone, Xoponoex, and Singulair.
May 2011: MEB was initiated. I was originally on a fast track, but was denied.
May-July: Went to three different specialists to attempt to get my asthma under control. I also started allergy shots.
November 2011: I was assigned a new PCM, who started on my narrative.
January 2012: PCM completed my narrative and I was assigned a PEBLO.
February-March 2012: Went to VA appointments.
23 March 2012: VA found me unfit and I was referred to IPEB.
July 2012: Received results from AFPC. Air Force offered me temporary retirement at 60% and the VA offered my 90%. In addition to my asthma, I was rated from ankle/joint issues I was having, major depressive disorder, adjustment disorder, and panic attacks/anxiety.
16 August 2012: I received my orders
27 September 2012: My DOS
From what I understand, I was temporarily retired because my asthma still hasn't stabilized yet and I am constantly on and off oral steroids.
I am so thankful that this whole process is over, more then a year after it was initiated. I hope this information can help you guys out.
BTW, I am a Senior Airman with 5 years in.
