Is there anything that prevents PCS (specifically Korea) while in the MEB process? I am aware of the possibility of PCS'ing to WTUs and such, but it makes no sense that they'd put Soldiers on orders of this type, when there's the possibility that they will not be continuing service.

I asked this question for a buddy that is in this situation, and now, as of yesterday, I'm on assignment to Japan. I'm going to call branch today and talk to them about it. Any one have any further guidance on this particular situation? Thanks.

My interpretation is that if you didn't reach MEB through MMRB, and you come down on assignment, you need to have PCM send you through MMRB. Thoughts?

I'll post content when I'm not on my phone...

You shouldn't be able to to PCS while undergoing a MEB. I had PCS orders in April and my MEB hadn't even officially started at that point. I had a code 37 which means I needed to go through the MEB process but they hadn't started because they were waiting for treatment. The FSS outbound assignments office had no idea so I had to call the PEBLO to ask if I was PCSing or not and she contacted AFPC and they finally realized I couldn't PCS and cancelled my orders. I was able to get orders because I hadn't been coded right in the system so it wasn't being flagged as needing an MEB.
